For those looking for a place to rest this is the place Even so it's half an hour from several places to visit, Monsanto Penha Garcia and Idanha the Old Accommodation in the center of the village and with all the amenities Idan Host TOP!

Quiet and Quiet

It's picturesque, welcoming, comfortable, a real treasure!!! Going out, we feel at home, comfortably, and so on and so forth. Edan welcomes us like this in his space, making us feel at home.

A paradise on the border, so far and so close!!!

This establishment offers a lot of comfort for a reasonable price. Breakfast is good. Although we only stayed one night, I enjoyed the experience. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The service is impeccable. And Salvaterra del Extremo is a very beautiful Rayan village.

Pleasant stay

We just got out of spending a night there 4 people. Proper and pleasant rooms with no major luxuries. It has a spacious and well-equipped living room but no soap. It has air conditioning and closet. The house is a real jewel. Old town wood stove adapted to a country house. It is a house-museum where you find a surprise every step of the way. Living history of Salvaterra. It is worth stopping in its hallways. It has a pool room and table games. The garden is a reduction of what it is: a dream place to enjoy a pleasant swimming pool, fantastic views of the florido for families, couples and peace in loneliness. You need to prepare an urgent place to rest, enjoy the outdoor valley. The family can enjoy the valley. You must visit the surrounding countryside for a few hours, if you want to have a nice meal, and if you want to have a nice meal, you can definitely ask for a few hours, and you can enjoy the surrounding area.

It could be Top, but it needs a little maintenance and joy.

After I bought my first lens, I searched for places in Portugal to photograph large birds. I searched for some natural parks and I chose Tejo International. I chose the Natural Park. I had to find a company that showed me the main locations of the park. I found ZêzereTrek. After the first contact, they sent me a plan for the 3 days of my visit. The company ZêzereTrek advised the House of the Furnace to stay for these 3 days. We loved it. Typical house in a very small but very well-arranged village: Salvaterra do Extremo. Super nice staff and a funny decoration with old items. Comfortable rooms and common areas very well-arranged and clean. Small local lunches with very good quality items and dinner can serve the same food in a typical way but we will be back soon.

Very neat house with a nice garden area around the pool. Very friendly people. Excellent breakfast, served with local produce and some very good homemade compotes. Possibility to order Dinner, which becomes more practical because there are no restaurants nearby.

A very pleasant stay.

     We booked 2 nights at Casa Do Forno on booking.com, we have used this web site many times in the past without a problem. We checked the reviews on booking.com and all were positive so we booked. Casa Do Forno is located in a small village. It was a 3.5 hr drive from the Portuguese coast. There are no restaurants or bars (we realised this when booking), as a result we prepared by purchasing food and drinks for our stay. 
     The room was advertised as having microwave, refrigerator, full bathroom (inc bath) and a balcony. When we arrived and we're taken to the room, we immediately discovered it had none of the promised facilities. The room was absolutely bare it contained a double bed and a wardrobe there was a TV the size of an iPad mounted on the wall. No chairs no bedside tables no laps absolutely no furniture at all (except a bed and wardrobe) the room looked nothing like the rooms depicted on the booking.com site. The room had no microwave, no balcony, no refrigerator, and no bath.
     We confronted the owner who threw his arms in the air and said " the rooms no have microwave, fridge, bath or balcony, that booking.com they're crazy". We explained that we had food and drinks that would need refrigeration, in a nutshell he explained that would not be possible. He said that his wife was very tired as they had been busy and that she might be able to make us something to eat the following evening (not sure what we were supposed to do the fist night or for lunch the following day on the hope that his wife felt rested enough to maybe prepare us a meal) and that if we liked he would sell us cold drinks. This didn't really suit us as we had pictured in our minds some thing a little different. We explained that the accommodation wasn't as advertised and that it didn't suit, he stated that we would be charged whether we stayed or not. Unhappy we left and sought alternate accommodation several hours drive away. We found the host to be less than helpful, and expected us to just suck it up! As we didn't stay and the host cancelled our booking we were unable to share our experience on the booking.com site, so a lesson for young punters the worst experiences of all (where people reject the accommodation) will not be able to be posted to the booking.com page. Hence the sporadic good reviews goodness knows how many people have driven vast distances only to arrive and drive off!

Beware! Not as Advertised!

It seems to me the ideal place to go as a couple.For me it was an experience.Repeat it without thinking, only repeating it with the company.But I highly recommend it, and in summer breakfast in the garden is a treat.

A dream come true...

La casa rural is located in Salvaterra do Extremo, a very small and quiet town near the Raya, very close to Zarza la Mayor. The house is cozy, it has seven rooms located at the top of the house.The cleanliness and kindness of the staff will stand out.The food is very good and homemade. I recommend it if you are looking for tranquility.

A good place to disconnect.

Stunning rural tourism establishment in a quiet pueblo del Portugal deep... Kitchen house, breakfasts with products of the house... Perfect for strolls through the international Tejo natural park... Simple, clean rooms, with good heating and air conditioning, no phone or television in the room (as it should be in an establishment like this), functional bathroom and very clean Completely recommended.
