Fab central location (although be prepared to lug your suitcase up a little hill if you take public transport there!). Be prepared to speak/ understand either french/spanish/Portuguese rather than english, depending on who checks you in. Great to have my own shower in the room for the price. Loved the furniture and the shutters. Very authentic Portuguese accommodation. Excellent value and would stay again.

Great value

Best thing about this hotel is location. it is very close to metro so easy to reach from airport if you choose metro. the airport bus stop is also close but I didnt use it becauase of the traffic.
it is little uphill near the finicular so it might be difficult to climb with luggages. There is also no elavator, so you should carry your luggage upside -down.
very close to main tram, bus stops. for example you could walk in 10 mins to the first stop of tram 28, or 5 minutes to Belem tram 15.
the furniture are old but for me, bed and room was enough. there was no heating system but they put an electric heater in the room. it is very useful in the cold nights.

central location

It's cheap and that's fine. The location, close to the elevador connecting Restauradores with Bairo Alto is good. This is a typical cheap sleeping spot, with a reception where the tv is always on, a bit a duff smell, but a relatively clean room wit a - woooow - superb view in my case. My room was ok, not too much noise from the hallway, an ok bed and quite some space + my own lavabo.
It can be a bit warm, the shower was not so clean and you can have some noise, but hey, I was very happy with the price/quality of this spot.
So, if you are only looking for a clean bed for a night: great, go for it.

For this price, a fair option

Went here for one night 12.-13.9 and was a total waste of money because of the construction going on THROUGH THE NIGHT. Check whether the works are still going before coming here. Otherwise no possibility for sleeping.  

Next to a construction site, impossible to sleep 

It's right in the center- really easy to get anywhere. Also there are metro station, rail station and tram right next to it. The staff is super nice and the place is very clean. It's very simple but you can have an option for a room with toilets and a shower and that's everything you need- you get clean sheets, towels, soap etc. highly recommend if you're on a budget and you want a decent place to stay in.
