Basic but good value

Pros: location is good, bed is comfy, balcony is pleasant

Cons: bathroom absolutely reeked when we arrived, there were ants and I am covered in ant bites. Impossible to find the place as the location on google maps and booking.com is wrong. They should have given the building number which I only was given when I rang up when we were lost

Basic but cheap

The hotel is ideally located and cheap. That's the only positive thing about this stay. I measure 1m72, the bed is too small, you can't even put your feet outside because there's a bed tower. I've tried every possible way to sleep and I can tell you that I'm curved everywhere. Then the shower... two 3-minute showers after that it's dead. Then the noise... at night the restaurants, but at night the storage, the garbage trucks, then we straigh the tables, 7:30 the work and at 8:00 the music.

Never again.

The accommodation is very well located, very centrally located for walking. The room is comfortable and clean. The owner is very friendly and very organized. Good quality/price ratio for Lisbon centre.

Good quality to price ratio, nice ownership

On the main street of Lisbon a nice hostel with the essentials for the price is there is a... one sin we had the room that looked out on the road like I think the other five and at night and early morning you hear all the crap of those who come back from doing baldness or start setting up tables and chairs on the road... for the rest of it all ok

Right in the middle!

Only gave them a four because communication was not good.  No phone number supplied and the one on the website is incorrect.  They said they sent an email but that was not true as it never arrived in spam or email.  Arrived at address, it's a gift shop below, if you look carefully you will see a phone number to phone, well only if you have a local sim as there is no country code etc. Luckily I bought a SIM card at the airport.  Once you call then you have to go through all the details and get the code to your door.  With a long haul international flight this  feels like a real hassle.  We lent our phone to our guest to call or pointed them to the number on the wall. Two days later they put up a sign to welcome other guest but not the phone number to call, again we found guest sitting there on our return and showed them the number.  So in other words no one seem to receive there messages. 
Apart from that the place is well located, it's on the main tourist street but with google maps you can find lots of other places to stay in the vicinity.  Taxi to here is about 18 to 20 euros.  You can walk to most tourist sites. If you go to Sintra the ticket lines are long buy your ticket at the little shop on your right to the escalator. 

Location is top

I stayed here only for one night but it was very good experience. My room was clean and with private bathroom. I didn't need anything else than comfortable bed and was the bed! I recommend!
The biggest advantage is localisation! The hostel is in the center like the name says. No surprises. I could back whenever I wanted. 

Good one

It's pretty good overall. Clean, nice, clear room. The reception is nice, breakfast is plenty. Saturday night is top. Quality/price ratio is right. Recommendation is no worries.

Staying

If you're aesthetically unpretentious and want to spend little, this hostel is going to go well. It's economical and in a great location. Clean but aesthetically critical. We took a bedroom with a private bathroom. The bathroom was small but with everything. The bathroom was tiny and the bed was practically in a former bathroom with tiles attached to the walls. The window was terrible. But we paid for it. We can't complain. It's not cold and it's quiet at night. There's Wi-Fi and the person in charge is quite available.

Economy and good location

The accommodation was billed as a "guest house" on booking.com, but it had the feel of a low quality hostel. Although it was advertised as having new furniture, everything in my room was broken or wobbly. The only seating in the room (besides the bed) was some sort of stained, saggy, pink "cushion cube", and it was really gross from too much use. The communal shower had a shower head but no place to hang it. The communal sink clogged after every use. There is not one thing I would recommend beside the great location (it really is in the heart of things) and the nice day staff. At close to 100 Euro/night, it was an absolute rip-off!!!  I stayed here only because I had no other options. I noticed after I left that they had raised the price to 125 euro!!! I pity anyone who pays that much for one of these rooms. TIP: If your only choice in Lisbon is this place...go directly to Porto!

Low quality and a rip-off!

We stayed at the hostel for a couple of days. It's situated right in the heart of Lisbon, so most of the important places to visit are within walking distance. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but clean, and so are the bathrooms. It even has a kitchen and a small balcony. The only negative thing we experienced were the quite noisy nights due to the central location of the hostel. Considering the low price this hostel was perfect for us.
