Omassim is a wonderful place, with wonderful people, food, Yoga, Sound healing, massage, the Pool and the beautiful ocean. Ericeira is also a beautiful place to Walk to. I wonder, when I will be back for the fourth time…. Thank you Lia and the team!

Home to my heart

I had a very nice time in this retreat. The whole team does an amazing job and you can really feel the love they put into this little place.
The food is delicious (i must have gained some weight), the yoga teachers are very experienced, the massage i had was wonderful and everyone was always so nice and helpful.
Would highly recommend if you need a little homy place to unwind!

Lovely place to relax and unwind

I had an incredible week at Omassim! Honestly, it was the first time in my life that I chose to take a solo vacation, and most importantly, a true relaxation retreat. No activities, explorations, or constant movements. My goal was to find a place where I could spend time in complete relaxation, in peace, in love with my body, surrounded by beautiful nature and pleasant details of everyday life. Omassim completely met my expectations. It was a place of total acceptance, tranquility, mutual respect, and enjoyable interactions with new people.
I spent a long time choosing the place, carefully selecting based on reviews and photos. It was important for me not to cook and not to think about it - for someone taking a break after three years with a child, it's simply a must. The vegetarian food was a plus, and the food at Omassim exceeded all my expectations; it was very delicious, diverse, and satisfying—thanks to the chefs!
To truly relax, I chose only the option with yoga, and yoga did not disappoint. I was worried that, as in many surf camps, it might just be an add-on to surfing, but the yoga was wonderful, challenging, and set the tone for a lively day. The massage seemed to be a hit for everyone, and everyone took at least one additional massage. All the therapists were different, each with their own unique approach. Although I was initially concerned about the massage, thinking it might be just gentle strokes, the therapists turned out to be excellent professionals!
And what can I say about the house itself, the people who make this place so special, and their care for guests and the home? The garden, flowers, pool area, hammocks, an incredible array of picturesque details that make you want to draw and draw... And, of course, the people. Everyone was open-minded, welcoming, supportive... in such places, you know, only good people gather.
The views around were simply breathtaking! We stayed in a room overlooking the hills and greeted the sunrise there every day before yoga. I really miss that open space before my eyes now... The cliffs above the ocean turned out to be exactly what I was looking for, choosing this place. No, perhaps, they turned out to be even more picturesque... Especially in the company of new friends in the sunset rays.
The village of Ribamar is very cozy, full of small houses with well-kept gardens and colorful details. The beach is quite far from the hotel, especially considering the uphill walk back from the beach. But, on the other hand, you can take a leisurely walk along the cliffs, watching the ocean and surfers. I must say that at the end of September, the beach was not the most suitable for swimming. The sand quickly transitions into a rocky uneven bottom, and the waves crash against the shore, full of small stones. But maybe when the ocean is calmer, the beach will be more enjoyable. I think for beginner surfers, this is not the most ideal place, as the rocky bottom can be tricky. But many started here and don't complain.
As for drawbacks, the only thing I can point out is the sound in the house. So, bring earplugs, or after two surfing sessions a day, you won't mind it at night.
Thank you, Omassim! Thanks to Lia ans Eduardo, staff, volunteers, yoga instructors, and massage therapists. Thanks to the guys who shared this vacation with me and remain pleasant memories, and who knows, maybe they will appear in my life again. I hope Omassim will.  

Home of acceptance, relaxation, yoga and surfing

Wonderful experience, exactly what my soul needed. From the facilities, to the food, the yoga classes, the atmosphere, the staff; everything is top! The guesthouse is managed with love, is incredibly familiar and offers a safe space for everyone! A place where you love to come back!

Absolutely stunning stay!

Our stay at the Omassim GuestHouse was one of the best vacation decisions we've ever made. My wife is a yoga-afficianado, but I am a yoga-noob -- and I still felt at home. From top to bottom, Omassim prioritizes the right things for a vacation: community, good food, REST. The accomodations are clean and not too ornate, the food is delicious, and the pace of life is just the right kind of pace to rejuvenate and rediscover parts of yourself that you've been ignoring in the "real world".

Restful for all 

I loved my stay at Omassim guest house. I felt welcome there immediately, the place is so laid-back and comforting, and the people gentle and kind. The yoga sessions morning and evening were well thought out and executed, as were the meditation sessions. I especially loved the sessions with Aisling. The food was incredible, so so good, and catered for all needs and diets. My room in the blue house was wonderful, a home-away-from-home, and both the room and the private bathroom in the hallway were absolutely spotless, as was the entire property. Everyone at Omassim was so nice, and it was obvious that the morale was excellent and everyone's work contribution was valued, no matter what the job. Highly recommended. Thank you again Lia, Eduardo, and everyone else at Omassim. 

A wonderful week at Omassim

I had the best time at Omassim. Lia and her team are very welcoming and create a feel-good atmosphere. Everything is clean and tidy. The mix of sport, relaxation and good food makes you feel so alive! 
Surfing for the first time was a beautiful experience that I will remember for a long time. I am happy to come back. Thank you!

Amazing, friendly and comfortable

I have just returned from the most amazing four weeks spent at Omassim Guest House. 

Lia, Eduado and their wonderful team seem to effortlessly create a home from home atmosphere, where every guest’s individual needs are catered for… if like me you are looking for time, space and peace for meditation and mindfulness you will find it, if you prefer a more active retreat, twice daily yoga and/or surfing classes are available to keep you busy, along with weekly Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, and opportunities for SUP, mountain biking, bouldering and aerial yoga.

The two houses are beautiful, simple and comfortable, both with a very relaxed atmosphere. The Yoga Shala has a very special vibe, and evening meditation and Yoga to accompanying bird song are especially rejuvenating. Eduado provides the most delicious vegetarian food imaginable, and Chocolate the worlds most chilled Labrador is super friendly, especially if you are happy to provide the odd ear scritch, belly rub or walk to the beach. 

Lia, Eduado, and all the other beautiful people I met - thank you will never be enough. Namaste 🙏 x

Just Perfect 

I had a fantastic time at Ommassim. The staff is very sweet and helpful. Not only the yoga lessons are well taken care of but I would definitely recommend the surf lessons to everyone. With the icing on the cake the food was fantastic! I would recommend it to everyone
