Flor Do Douro

Excellent price / quality ratio, normal rooms for a very low price, and even good breakfast is included. Near the entrance to the hotel is some sort of mini flea market so hotel doesn't look neat. Do not be afraid, is a very good and clean hotel, despite a bit unpresentable view from the street. Bike friendly, no problem with place to put bicycles. Miranda do Douru itself is the hidden gem. Marvelous tiny town on the border with Spain, with stunning views of the Douro valley. Locals have their own culture, even have their own language, Mirandese, different from Spanish and Portuguese. But almost all people here besides Mirandese speak fluent both Spanish and Portuguese, some English.
