Fantastic!   5 stars all the way.  We stayed here a while ago (earlier than June, but I just noticed my review didn’t post.   The staff here are amazing.  The food is amazing.  The accommodation is amazing.  The best view from any hotel we’ve stayed in.  I would highly recommend this B&B.   I would also recommend the national park.  A short drive away.  We did an activity with Oporto Adventures and it was a great day out and the scenery was spectacular.

The perfect place to stay 

Lakeview was an amazing experience with impeccable service. Alvaro, who runs the place, was very welcoming and always gave great advice! Excellent breakfast and overall highly recommended!

I would recommend visiting in the summer months as it is a good time to go swimming in the nearby waterfalls.

Amazing place! Great hospitality

So glad we found this hidden gem.  Superb accommodation in a stunning setting with panoramic views over one of the most beautiful spots in Portugal.  The owners are so welcoming and friendly.  Eduardo is keen to share his local knowledge to help you get the most from your stay.  The homemade breakfasts are amazing (best yoghurt I've ever tasted)!  We stayed for 6 nights - enough time to explore the Peneda-Gerês National Park - wish we could have stayed longer!  100% recommend to anyone looking for high quality accommodation with great hospitality in a picturesque setting.

Perfection!

So after a long windy road by the mountains..which I love..up the steep hill to what I found to be an absolute peace of heaven.
Views to die for..a beautiful, small but adorable room with a walk out outside..with amazing views. Modern large bathroom.
The hosts are so accommodating and friendly. 
They prepared me a "light small snack" according to them...which was a full size meal..served outside overlooking the pool. Delicious meal..can't wait for tomorrow's breakfast it looks like its going to be quite a spread.
Great place to relax..take in the views..and go for long walks..which I did to burn out the dinner. Very safe. I'll be back and fully recommend  

What a find

One of the most beautiful places I've been around the world, Wonderful room, and also one of the best i've ever been in the world. The room was very clean, looks great, have all you need to be very confortable and more, and the view it's the best ever. The owners and staff are the friendliest and warm people i've ever met in the many countrys i've been. Thank you very much Mr. Eduardo. I will return asap!

Greatest place ever

Our room was superb, Breakfast was delicous. The views are outstanding and the owner's were entertaining, amiable, polite, friendly accomodating....i could go on but you get the idea. Didn't know what to expect before we arrived.. a b&b in Geres!!!! no idea why i was concerned it exceeded all expectations.

Wonderful

No. 1 in Gerês. Undoubtedly.

The only reason I'm writing this review is because of the owners of Lakeview Gerês Guesthouse. Eduardo and Fátima are so kind, that they deserve nothing but the best reviews in the world and success for they're business. But for that reason only, since I'd like to keep this beautiful secret all to myself.
The house is absolutely amazing. Perfectly located (5min. walking to the beaches of Alqueirão e Ipanema), though not easy to find at first, but once you get there, nothing else matters. Everywhere you look you will be in awe. The view is simply amazing and everywhere you look there's a perfect sight. From the balcony, the garden, the terrace, the pool, the living room, the parking/entrance, the breakfast venue. You just feel in love with the scenery everytime you open your eyes. 
The room was so nit, modern, comfortable and perfectly clean, there's nothing bad to say. Truly. And I am one of the picky kind. 
The house/common spaces are beautifully decorated, magazine like, but apart from the first minutes, you'll immediatly feel at home. 
Breakfast is super complete and fresh: lovely produce, different options everyday and there's never something missing. 
I could go on and on about it, but let's just leave it at this.

Please go. And please don't go. I want this hideaway all to myself. I really do.
