We went for a family trip and passing by we saw an advise saying "wild boar with chestnuts", something that me and my family love so we decided to stop. It didn't disapoint! The entries were very good, but the meal itself was very well cooked, the meat was tasty and soft, it was the best meal of the little vacations that we took!

We spent 2 nights here while hiking & visiting the Peneda National Park. The hotel is worthy of its ** rating being a basic no frills and affordable establishment but that's it. The staff are very friendly, some English spoken, and the on site restaurant is a plus as well. At 45€ per night, our stay was a bargain. A good nights sleep after long hikes! 

As the tourist office advised, "A Normal Hotel". 

We have been at the restaurant a couple of times recently. The food is good, based on the traditional of the region.The service is also good based on a mix of family and professional staff.
The prices are very reasonable and the quantity is more than enough

We stayed two nights and we were happy about the price all the rest was not very nice. The rooms are very small and like most parts of the hotel very old fashioned equipped. The bathroom is tiny and some parts were somewhat broken (shower cabin falling apart). The reception is empty most of the time and they are not prepared to have young guests at all. They barely understood English which made everything very hard. We tried to ask them about hiking options in the area and our wifi access but they barely managed to help us.
We had breakfast once but that was the worst breakfast we had during our Portugal trip - half warm coffee,no options for people who dislike black coffee, just one choice of cheese and ham. All this served in a very noisy atmosphere (door to the kitchen open all the time). We did not have dinner in the restaurant, the prices are quite high and the atmosphere didn't seem to differ from the mornings.
In general the hotel seems to be more like are retirement home for the older people who visit the local spa, but they don't put any love in their house.
