We stayed for two nights in a triple room. It was a spacious room and the public arenas are nicely decorated. 

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The swimming pool is small but sufficient for a dip, at the end of the day.

Overall it is clean, spacious and excellent value 



Lovely hotel and excellent value

The Solar de Alqueva has a most unprepossessing lobby, but the rooms are spacious and modern, and clean. The wifi worked well. There is a small lounge on the 1st floor for board games or working or reading. There is parking on site. The hotel would benefit from carpets in the corridors to muffle sound. Breakfast was nothing special at all, a basic continental offering. The town centre is easily within walking distance, and there is both a pizzeria and an MMA studio very nearby. Three supermarkets are about five minutes cycling away.

Rooms are better than the reception

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Excellent WiFi bandwidth. Outdoor pool(unheated as are many European pools). Service staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast included. An excellent choice for an overnight stay. 

Wonderful small town hotel with all modern conveniences

Modern, clean, tasteful, quiet hotel.  Very good breakfast included, as is parking.  Special attention paid to gluten-free diet when requested.  The room was large and the bed was very comfortable.  Pool is available but we did not use it. The price was also excellent.

Beautiful little place, quite unexpected given the town

Nice place in the center of Reguengos de Monsaraz. 
We stayed on the ground flour, room 111. Inspite of it being next to the breakfast room, we didn't hear any noise in the morning. The room was spacious and clean. We also had a view of the swimming pool/garden area.
Breakfast was good with a variety of cakes, bread, fruit, ham/cheese, coffee, juice, etc. Normal breakfast you'd find in any hotel. Only thing missing was bacon and scrambled eggs.
Staff were also very nice. The girl at the desk gave some useful tips about restaurants in the area and the breakfast girl kept on checking if we needed anything.
Overall we loved our stay and will stay again if we're ever in Reguengos de Monsaraz.

Pleasant place to stay

We were booked into the Casa Monsaraz but they closed it for refurbishment and transferred us to the Solar de Alqueva. The hotel is excellent. Very clean, friendly staff, good parking and well located for exploring the town. A lovely room and a good breakfast completed an overall made memorable stay. We will use this hotel for any future visits to the Reguengos wine region
