This is a lovely place. Everything is beautifully appointed, the room and the breakfast room. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Great location near the wineries and the pottery town. The mother and daughter team who run it were lovely.

A Lovely Dpot

This is an excellent find if you are in the area of Reguengos do Monsaraz book in here.It is a little way out of town so you need a car and it is 5 minutes drive into town.The rooms are extremely clean and very comfortable beds.I must mention the host Rita nothing is too much trouble and very helpful in explaining places too visit,I must also mention her Mum a lovely lady.Breakfast is included and gives a wide choice fresh orange juice pastries bread cheese and meats all in all you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere better to stay would very highly recommend this 5 Star property.

An excellent small hotel.

We loved our stay at Outeiro do Barro! Our only regret was that we only had enough time to stay for one night... Reguengos de Monsaraz is a very special part of Alentejo, and Outeiro do Barro is located perfectly for day trips and exploring the surrounding towns and the many castles. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone, and the value is difficult to beat - spotlessly clean rooms and grounds, delicious breakfast and wonderful hosts. Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting!

Little cosy hotel just outside of reguengos de Monsaraz. Very peaceful, great to enjoy the silence and the views of the alentejo plains and vineyards. Close to Monsaraz where you can catch a magnificent sunset. Small pool is great to rest after a complete and delicious breakfast. 

Peaceful, cosy and restful 

Breakfast room is the best of the property(IMO).  Bright with lots of sunlight and overlooking beautiful vineyard.  Breakfast is sufficient and with pastries, cakes, jams, cheese and cured meat.  Best part is all freshly home made and very tasty.

The vineyard attached to the property is really beautiful.  Room and bathroom is very spacious and clean.  Really like all small details like towels and napkins with imprinted property name logo.  Patio outside the room overlooking the garden and pool is perfect to relax and read.

We only stayed there for 1 night and arrived around 5pm so we did not have enough time to enjoy at the patio.  Wish we stayed there more than 1 night.

Value is too good to be true.  Stay here and you won't regret. Almost forget, the owner of the property is super friendly and she always hang around reception and breakfast room and makes sure you are happy with everything.

Very beautiful property attached to a vineyard

We arrived for one night before continuing and finishing a long journey to the Algarve from Bilbao. We were the only guests that night but Rita made us very welcome and explained about the hilltop village on Monsaraz (about 20 minutes drive away) plus where we could eat for the evening.

The town of Requeugos de Monsaraz is a short drive away. There are a number of restaurants and some supermarkets. There is also a cooperative wine shop from where we purchased wine.

Our accommodation was simple, clean and well presented. We took advantage of the extra bedding provided as it was quite cold that night. Breakfast was a delight with views of Monsaraz across the vineyards. The quality of the breakfast was outstanding with fresh products, freshly squeezed juice and homemade cakes. Thoroughly recommend. All round excellent value.

Lovely overnight stop

What can I say, this was one of the best accommodation my wife and I have had
in Portugal in several years. This is not a luxury resort or a five star hotel, but a
Simple B & B with good facilities, excellent service, great location and friendly staff.
The indivilual chalets are modern and well equipped, a wonderful salt water pool
with patio and a terrific breakfast. All this and a wonderful price. This is a kind of place
which is perfect 👌after a long trip or a vacation from a vacation. I plan to return, I love 
this part of Portugal.
