We’ve stayed there for 2 nights. Our small house was clean, well equiped but a bit cold. The breakfast was served in the central house, it was tasteful and original, with local bread and home made desert. If you come by car, rent the smallest one, it was not very easy with peugeot 208 and the route is quite narrow. 

Absolutely awesome!

This guest house was one of the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in my life. It was not very easy to find this beautiful lodge in our way to the mountains.
But once we were there the nature was from an other world. The host was very kind and gave us some good restaurant advices around. Our country style room was wonderful. The breakfast served in an amazing kitchen was nice.

Amazing

The place is situated in the most beautiful part of Madeira, it is really very picturesque! The house itself is near the river with an old stone bridge, like in a fairy tale.
Paula is very very kind and helpful, and she really created an atmosphere of a real home away from home.
Breakfasts were wonderful! With home made bread, omelette, butter, fruits, jams etc
The house itself is very charming and romantic! Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need! We enjoyed some evenings cooking dinner in the kitchen and then eating near the fireplace.
Wi Fi worked excellent
We eat several times at Casa do Chá do Faial which is 5-10 minuted drive from Moinho do Comandante, nice meat.

Perfect stay in Madeira

Fabulous location. Paula is a great host. She made us feel very welcome (The cake and the wine). Giving you tips about what you should visit or could be doing. Think it's worth mentioning: The road to the Moinho is steep and narrow. We didn't bother but I guess this could be important for less experienced drivers.
