Stayed here 4 nights as part of a walking holiday package. It was a nice quiet guest house and we enjoyed the pastries and the fruit left in the hallway, a lovely touch. The views across to Pico, weather permitting, from our room were fantastic. Breakfasts were good. The provision of a washing line complete with pegs for use by everyone was a great bonus.

An excellent Bed+Breakfast,ideally located in Velas , perfect reception by Mr Antonio himself .Rooms and service very good.  Excellent ratio "value for money"! The only negative point is in our opinion the  rather poor quality of  breakfast... Thankyou Antonio, we shall come again and recommend you home to our friends !

A small beautiful guest house, easy to walk into the town and access the swim areas. The room was lovey, spotlessly clean and with everything needed. The air conditioning was very welcome and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a continental style buffet with plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay and hope to visit again. He staff were very helpful and we wanted for nothing.

Quirky and beautiful

After many trips to São Jorge, I now stayed for the first time at this accomodation, and I can guarantee it's the best option for people who want a central small hotel.
The staff is very sweet and helpful. And the owner does his best to make your visit pleasant.
The rooms are very clean and full of amenities, such as shampoo/conditioner,  shower gel, shower caps, toothbrushes, combs, shaving kit, kleenex, etc. Even water and a fruit basket is always available in the room.
Great view to the port and a cozy garden are a great place to be when waiting for your travel partner to get ready to go out. Also the breakfast are is very nice and the food is great and diversified cheeses and bread are available.
For sure "Casa do Antonio" will be my preference next time I visit the island.

Adorable small and central hotel, very close to the airport

The accommodation was basic but good with a clean and comfortable room from which we had a wonderful view of the port. We were greeted by the manager who explained everything in an easily understandable way. Service was efficient and the staff were friendly and approachable; Raquel went out of her way to ensure we had a taxi to the airport at the end of our stay. There was an adequate self-serve breakfast buffet selection with Raquel on hand (but out of sight) if needed. There is no restaurant at Casa do Antonio but a good choice is very close at hand.

Superb accommodation in a central location

Anna picked us up from the airport and was always very helpful during our stay.
The hotel was lovely and quaint.  The breakfast was plentiful and tasty.  The had pastries and fruit always at the front desk for us to enjoy.  The rooms were very clean. A great place close to town, beach, and ferry terminal.

Friendly service

We booked this hotel while on a hiking tour in the Azores. Very friendly people and a nice clean room with a spectacular view of Pico island and the majestic Volcano. Breakfast was simple but plentiful. Thank you very much Anna and Marissa for dropping us at our  starting points and picking us up again at our hiking destinations. Excellent service! Obrigado!

Wonderful little hotel, smack in the centre of Velas

What a little gem.  Sitting just above the harbour at Velas, it doesn't look much when you first arrive but once inside you discover clean, good sized, well equipped rooms. Ours had a little outside seating area.  Staff are all excellent and super helpful.  They arranged a tour for us with very little notice and included the cheese factory for us.  Breakfast was a buffet of cold meats, cheese, fruit and yoghurt with a variety of breads.  Nice touches include coffee and tea available 24 hours in the breakfast room and little cakes and fruit available in reception each day.    A very easy walk down to the harbour if you are catching a ferry.  Would stay here again.

A gem

Looks nothing special from the street. However it is a hidden gem. Staff friendly and efficient. Spotlessly clean Upgrade to tower room for the best view and a lovely balcony. Good bathroom and comfy bed. Aircon. Good breakfast, packed lunch available, free tea and coffee to help yourselves 24 hours with fridge you can use. Free local cakes an apples in reception. Lovely terrace area and plenty to watch as overlooks the harbour. handy for the ferry. Would certainly stay again if on the island
