This BNB was beautiful, and the owner was super friendly! Check in usually ends at 8, but when I called saying we wouldn’t arrive until 1:15 am, he said he would wait for us to arrive. Great wifi, comfortable bed, and really nice outdoor (saltwater) pool area. Breakfast is also amazing and can be modified to fit dietary needs. If I’m ever back in Tavira I will be staying here again.

The perfect BNB

We stayed here for 8 days, and enjoyed everyone of them. Very quirky and not your run of the mill hotel. Rooms are clean and adequate. We had breakfast on the verandah every morning and was delicious. The pool was a delight We would go out exploring every day for hours  and to come back for a nice relaxing swim was bliss. The temperature was in the 30s when we were there so the pool was a dream. There is a train that passes by, but don't let it put you off booking this hotel, it's gone in a few seconds. After the first day you don't even hear it. The owner, Sebastiao really wants his guests to have a great stay and cares that everything is ok. This is something that you don't get with a big chain hotel. This hotel is a very easy  10 minute flat walk to town. We were so pleased we chose this hotel.

Something Different

It was a fantastic stay. The photos do not do the rooms justice. It really is a hidden gem. The hosts were absolutely lovely too! It's important to support local economies and this one is 100% worth it. My advice, stay away from the chains and stay with the locals.

A hidden gem 💎 if ever I saw one.

We have passed the Tavira Inn for 10 years as we have an apartment on the hill above it but only got the opportunity to stay there this autumn and never realised what a hidden gem it was! Sebastian is a welcoming and charming host who has created a very special place to stay in this beautiful town. It is a unique property decorated in a really stylish way, the bedrooms are very comfortable and there is a beautiful pool area with sun loungers overlooking the river.
It is in a very quiet area yet only steps from all of the restaurants,cafes,and shops. It is also just a 10min walk to the ferry over to the beach and with the bus station just a 2 min walk away it is the ideal place to stay in Tavira. You will not be disappointed if you book to stay here. Thanks Sebastian we hope to see you on our next visit.
PS-with regard to the train noise mentioned in other posts it does not run during the night and we honestly did not hear it after the first morning so don't be put off by that.

Perfect Location In Tavira Town

We had a wonderful 10 day stay here. The pool was lovely. We spent many hours relaxing, reading and swimming. We loved how peaceful the pool was and the water was very refreshing in the heat. It is walkable to the town and supermarket - less than 5 minutes. The ferry to the beach was about a 5 minute walk also. Our room was basic but had everything that we needed. Sebastian is a character - a charming and friendly host. Thank you for a lovely stay! George

Perfect Stay!

A wonderful place to stay, relaxing salt water pool, beautifully decorated, friendly owner, I can't say enough great things about the Tavira Inn.  Great location, walkable to everywhere.  Can't wait to visit again.  Thank you Sebastian for your art and creativity.

Perfect Place to Stay

A last minute booking when we were let down with our original apartment.
We were greeted by Sebastian the owner, who proved to be a real character and we had a lot of light hearted banter with him.
The room was spacious and very clean, a kettle and fridge were provided, we ate out for our meals, local cafes, and restaurants a short walk along the picturesque river to the lovely town.
The terrace and pool were lovely, very peaceful listening to the birds, and appreciating the lovely garden.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend and would return.

A piece of paradise.

My wife and I are cycling around Portugal and stayed at Sebastio’s for three days. It was great to be able to have a secure place to store the bikes while we took the bus to Seville for a couple of days. Sebastiao has a great place. It’s well located, quiet and comfortable. The pool patio area is a great spot to relax and the warm towels were a nice surprise I would recommend staying here.

Cycling

Thank you so much Sebastiao for a great 3 days in the wonderful town of Tavira. I'm sure that we will return in the very near future. Loved the décor and the inn was spotlessly clean. The Tavira Inn is in a great location within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes and walks along the river. Beautiful swimming pool and gardens. See you soon Sebastiao!

What a Find!!!

This quirky gem off the beaten path, yet a comfortable 7-min walk along the river to the commercial center of town, is run by Sebastiao who has put his quite impressive personal touch on the pool, gardens, and unique rooms.
