The hotel needs renovation. Especially the bathroom, with persistent, unpleasant smell. The location, however is very attractive, along park passage, with parking lot and easy access to several restaurants. The reception staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was very average and restaurant downstairs doesn’t look encouraging. Finally, the price for the accommodation was very reasonable.

Dated hotel in a nice environment

I booked an 4 stars room for 2 nights at Maria Hotel. After check-in, I called at the reception in order to announce that in the bathroom is terrible dirty and the receptionist answer that he don’t care about this, but he will send someone.  After a few minutes came the maid and she told me that she cannot do anything with the cleaning, but she will bring one towel and some hangers. I go to the reception in order ti find a solution after the receptionist hang up the phone with indolence. But nothing happened !!!

Unbelievable 

The hotel is old and have to be renewed. We had an apartment that looks good, decorated in an old style. Kind staff at the reception. The food is not tasty at all in the restaurant and the breakfast is very bad. No food variety and quality. The services quality are not reflecting the 4 stars and the big price

Old hotel and bad food in the restaurant

The hotel is placed in the center of the town of Botosani with a very nice view of the park. The hotel was before the 1989 revolution, the Communist Party Hotel in which all the high party members were accommodate. Since then nothing was changed. Not the furniture, not the service, not the construction. There is not an elevator in the hotel so someone who can not go up on the stairs is not able to reach a room on the first floor. Although the rooms and the bathrooms are very big, because the hotel has not an independent  heating system, even on a cold day, as we were there, it was quite cold in the room and in the bathroom was so cold that we couldn't have a shower. The breakfast was very poor for a "4 star hotel". We were very disappointed and I don't recommend this hotel.

A poor hotel from all points of view

Room : Clean rooms, classic furniture,great view in the center of the city, quit place, friendly people, good price for the services included.
Breakfast : generous meal, tasty local food, with amazing cookes.

Great place and breakfast

Situated in the center of the city , with private parking , very friendly staff! After almost 11 hours of driving we arrived at the hotel at 10:300-11:00 in the morning and we get the rooms right away (Check in was mentioned after 14:00 hour) We got a room amenities were varied, practically we needed only the clothes in rest we get everything. 
We were very pleased with the Hotel conditions , that you can see that was recently renovated but keeping the structure of the '80's. :)
In one of our booked rooms , the AC was malfunctioned , but it wasn't that bad, because we had not that hot weather.
The keys are a little hard to care around. I personal recommend an improvement of the room security system and change to a card access , easy to place on the wallet and also more quiet mode to use.!
