Recently traveled to Romania to visit my brother in law we traveled to Bran see the mountains and came to rest at this establishment. When I say we, I mean my wife and I, my 2 daughters and their husbands, my 4 grand children, brother in law and wife plus 2 Romanian friends 14 in total. The host (a retired ship captain so we had common ground) could not have been more help full or welcoming. The rooms where nipping clean and comfortable with great views. Breakfast was good and plentiful (Mrs Captain was responsible for this)and our 4 day break was enjoyed by all. I would unconditionally recommend this to anyone.

Mountain retreat

There are many pensions with this name on the way from Brasov so is easy to get confused. There is one even in Bran but this one is in the next village. We missed it first time because the GPS was not able to find the number. I understood that Google is better. 😀 However we called the owner and he directed us. After you pass Bran you drive and is in a street to the left, a bit up. The pension is very big and has its own parking. You can do a grill if you are inclined or just enjoy the terrace. The view is very nice and the air is very fresh. The rooms were furnished with bed, TV, small chairs. We stored some food and drinks in the fridge of the owner. There is no fridge assigned to the tourists and I think this could be a good investment. The owner was very nice and helpful and gave us useful information with respect to what we can do around. The pension is in a great location. You can order breakfast but we didn't choose this option. There is no restaurant on the premise. 

Vacation with family 

It has a spectacular view to the mountains, it is one of the few places in the area where you can stop and grab a bite, have a drink and book a room. The place presents itself as being a bit higher than average, but unfortunately the food is probably a bit lower than average. It's this contrast that determines me not to be completely satisfied with this destination. But as I said, the view is totally worth it. Overall I would recommend this location especially because of the scenery, and if they improved their cuisine the result would lead to an exceptional place.

Amazing view, mediocre food

Well, the good things: you are in the middle of the mountains, it's quiet and the food in the restaurant is good. But it is totally inaccessible for people with disabilities and far from a 3-star hotel comfort. The rooms are very, very small and smell bad and old wooden furniture.
