27 reviewsTo tell the whole story I have find some more words. Here we go: On the day of our arrival we booked online on of the various hotel portals a room. We got a confirmation and so we thought everything would be fine. But unfortunalety there must have been some kind of failure in the online booking system cause when we arrived late in the evening, the staff told us "Yes, I can see your booking, but there was a time lack between the local booking system of the hotel and the remote booking system of the server - so thats why we are fully booked although you got a confirmed reservation". We were desperate. No room? We were travelling by bike, it was late in the evening and we had no idea whereelse to stay. But without any hesitation the front desk office staff called his boss and within a few minutes she arrived in her workout dress. Although she was just about to start her evening jogging, she left no doubt to help us out. After one more minute they figured out a free but not yet cleaned room, a few more seconds passed as she changed her clothes and within 10-15 minutes they handed over the room key. Incredible! We were so happy! But thats not enough: The recommendation of the recepionist for a nearby local and delicous restaurant was awesome: Pizzeria Da Giulio (Șoseaua Colentina 23, București) - check it out if you like pizza & pasta:-) Better than in italy :-) Last not least the receptionist helped us out by describing a route with little traffic to the Int. Airport (by bicycle) with a kind of passion I haven't seen often before in my life time. Without any stop we found the Airport! There was no need to look at the gps. Great!! Just a few more facts: Room clean and calm / breakfast ok / location ok. Buy a metro ticket at the vending machines on one of the metro stations and you can use it for 25 Lei / 7 days. Cheaper than taxi and you almost feel like locals. If I'd come one day again to Bukuresti, I would book this hotel.
