fantastic hotel. very clean,rooms have almost all necessities (excapt  wifi which it lacks of ,the one that is in the hotel is horrible )  . it sits  in the municipality -city hall huge square . the lights around the square are great at night. hotel restaurant is good one, and it has a  great balcony  that observes over the square, so we ate  dinner and brkfast there which were in a perfact atmosphere, calm ,tasty and bful. we love this hotel, this is our 2nd time there ,and defenitely we will be coming again and again .

This is the classical communist style hotel in the very heart of the city (best location possible). It is a fair 3 star hotel with no real expectations. The communist style architecture make it very difficult to improve though the owners should invest in this hotel. A big plus was the breakfast.

Classic 3 star hotel in the very center of Buzau

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Pietroasa for a night, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. Our expectations were for a 3-star hotel, but to our surprise, the accommodations and service we received were undoubtedly worthy of much more.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff who ensured that our check-in process was smooth and efficient. They were incredibly attentive, making sure all our needs were met throughout our stay.

The room we were assigned was beyond our expectations. It was not only clean and well-maintained but also boasted of stylish décor and modern amenities. The comfortable bed, pristine bathroom, and excellent climate control made us feel right at home.

One of the key highlights of our stay was the exemplary service provided by the hotel's team of helpers. They went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. Their genuine enthusiasm to make our stay enjoyable truly set Hotel Pietroasa apart from other establishments.
Although our stay was brief, we left Hotel Pietroasa feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. 

The combination of a wonderful room, outstanding service, and the warm hospitality of the staff made our experience one to remember. We would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Pietroasa to anyone seeking a fantastic hotel experience.

A Delightful Gem of a Hotel - Exceeded Expectations! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Reasonable hotel with great combination price against quality. Location is fair, there is some parking spaces. I liked their rooms and interiors, fresh and spacious. I also liked that they allowed pets and truly friendly staff. Special appreciation for the breakfast. Summary: great hotel for reasonable price!

Fair hotel

I stayed here with 2 work colleagues for 2 weeks. We had superior suite/rooms in the newer wing which on paper were a good choice. There was a small minibar fridge, a kettle and coffee mugs, a good sized wardrobe and work desk. The issue with my room, and those of my colleagues was the poor cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms.  I left the room at 0745 every day, returning around 1700 and most days I had no room service even though I put the room free sign on the door handle. Who ever had been in my room prior to me was evidently a smoker as the room smelled of smoke and there was ash on the carpet and balcony rails. My bed was changed once in 12 nights. We had breakfast everyday, which was usually a very pleasant event with a large hot and cold buffet and friendly English speaking staff. That said, there were a number of days when the hotel was full with coach parties and the staff struggled to keep the food refilled. The rules in the hotel also dictated the wearing of masks in all the public areas of the hotel, except when seated in the dining room. Most guests completely ignored the rule which was very frustrating, and not just a Romanian issue I guess. The laundry service was excellent throughout although they didn’t appear to offer dry cleaning. A frustrating stay really that was spoilt by sloppy and rare room cleaning

Best hotel in the area


One of the ugliest hotel room I have stayed in my entire life. I have booked a room in the old pârț of the hotel, due to the price( bad decision). The room is very small, dirty and lacks the minimum requirements for a hotel room(they don’t have a soap in bathroom).
When I’ve entered the room a smell of sewage dominated the room. 
The only pozitive thing from my experiențe with this hotel is the position of the hotel, is situated in the center of the city
Tip: Choose one of the rooms from the new wing of the hotel.

Be carefull When you book a room!

The Pietroasa hotel was great. Very good and clean rooms, professional staff, parkingplace in front of the hotel. Stayed here during a trip up north to Petra neamt. Good place tos stay travelling north from Bukarest.

Very good hotel in centre of the city

I had a room in the new wing. Bed was very comfortable. I arrived during the night and night porter was very helpful. Buffet  breakfast, lots of choice. Hotel is located right in the center of Buzau, you can walk to the shops and the boulevard. A bit pricey by Romanian standards, but worth it.

Hotel divided by 2 parts (old and new wings).
I advise you to book in the new wing as more comfortable than the old one.
