We enjoyed staying at Manoir Mignon for a couple of days. The staff is friendly, the owner himself does his best to make your staying a great experience. The rooms are clean, with minimalist furniture but with all the things you need ( tv, fridge, towels, hair-dryer ). One of the advantages of the pension, is the fact that although we booked for NYE, we did not paid extra as it happens with all the other hotels in the area in this time of the year - 170E/room for 3 days ( 30 dec - 2 jan ) is the best  price you can get in the area. I highly recommend and I'm looking forward to come back here.

One of the best accommodation in Campulung Moldovenesc

advertised falsely by Booking.com with a 8.0 rating. It is just a fake. Google maps is about 2k off the real spot, to make you believe that you are close to town.  Bad start, as this place is hard to find. I passed 4 times in front without noticing it, as there is no sign. The manager explained that I should have seen the logo. Sure, Coca Cola, MacDo and Manoir Mignon are universally known logos, how could I have missed it?! We are in the presence of Mr Right, and you are Mr Wrong. My advise: just do not go there, no point in losing your temper even before you find it. 
Further notes: the room, bathroom and wifi are ok. A TV with a 30 cm diameter screen: small but no problem as it does not capture any signal anyway. At 6am , a lorries zooming down the highway wake me up. Today I have an early start. 
Helpful?  I am the only guest today, my room is on the 2nd floor. I follow the manager. Any bystander would guess that I am the bellboy.

A Fake all around

Unfortunately our stay was disappointing. It was our second day in Romania and we had not formed a country's image yet. Four people ate enough but not high quality food and paid very much. Seemed very expensive because we do not pay even in Greece such amounts . The next days when we ate at much better restaurants in Oradea, Timisoara, Bucharest and we had to pay too much less money it was confirmed . The same findings we had about our stay , when we stayed in other four or five stars hotels . It's too expensive for what they provide. Do not stay there, and above all DO NOT EAT there......

If you are looking for a nice, peaceful hotel for a vacation around Bucovina definitively this is not the place to go, in my view. Unlike the pictures show, Manoir Mignon is situated right alongside the main and heavily used by cars and trucks European road that links Bucovina to Transilvania. Also, as far as I could seem, there is no green place to seat outside, no garden if you wish to spend some time in the morning/evening enjoying the nature (letting aside that even if there were, you could not actually enjoy fresh air because of the noise). Manoir Mignon is rather like a highway motel suitable for an overnight stay. The worst and most disappointing thing is that, upon booking and fully paying the room which is pretty expensive compared to the usual prices in the area, I have specifically inquired the owner / administrator how tranquil the place is and got reassured of this aspect which is very important to me as I suppose is for many that visit Bucovina. We have eventually refused to stay there and found on the spot another place with suitable conditions for an enjoyable holiday. It is pretty strange to see that there are positive reviews which seem to disregard the location of this place. In all honesty, I found Manoir Mignon terrible!

A highway motel like, misleadingly advertised in the pictures, as to location

Looking to stay in Campulung, we were impressed with the external look of the hotel. We were greeted by the owner dressed in pristine chef's whites. He proceeded to show us a double room and quoted a price of €65 per night. We had been staying at other hotels in Romania over the previous 10 days and had found excellent quality for much less. We queried the price and at this point the owner became quite rude and intimidating. He disputed the fact that we had found similar quality accommodation elsewhere for less money. We no longer felt comfortable with the prospect of staying here with such an attitude.  We then departed and noticed that there were no other cars in the car park at all! 
We were pleased to find the excellent Cosmos Hotel and restaurant in the city centre at a much better rate.
