The hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms, although quite small, look modern and nice. The beds are comfortable. Our room was on the oposite side from the sea and it was not noisy. However, if you get a room with a sea view, there is a big night club just in front of the hotel, so it can get pretty noisy.
Unfortunately for this hotel, things are still done "the romanian way". It is too bad because you can tell some money were invested here and, on the inside, it looks nice. When we arrived, there were peanuts on the floor from the previous guests, the ashtray on the balcony was full, there was a coffee cup on the floor, etc. How can this happen when a room is supposed to be clean ? We stayed for 2 nights and during our stay no one cleaned our room, we did not receive any clean towels nor any shower gel (we finished what they provided from the first day). We just wanted to spend a nice weekend here but paying 100 EUR per night for these services is simply stupid. I am wondering what will happen to this resort (Mamaia) in the future as people start to realise it makes a lot more sense to spend their money for a lot better services in Greece or even in Bulgaria. I am romanian and would really prefer to spend my money in my country but reality is that we still have a lot to learn about tourism. We are light years behind while prices are almost at the same level with Western Europe. Too bad...

Nicely renovated hotel but extremely poor services

The furniture is very old, but the beds are comfortable. Everything is clean, but the windows and bathroom are old as well. The hotel have 2 stars but I think it deserve only one... The beach is at 3 minutes away, and the view is very beautiful.

Vintage but clean

location is convenient and two fine restaurants,  Rooms with views, nice square outside.  Parking is difficult.  Loved the restaurant and panoramic view.   Rooms are updated and nicely furnished.  Get a room with a view of the square.
