From the moment they met as at Crisan's ferry port to the moment they waved us off the family who run Casa Bogdan could not have been more friendly and helpful. Contrary to the prevoius reviewer I found this guesthouse to be excellent vaue. the measl were home-cooked, generous and tasty; including linteresting ocal produce like quails eggs at breakfast and perfectly cooked catfish for dinner. The boat trip which the family arranged for us for birdwatching was also enjoyable and great value. It is not a luxury five star place where all staff speak perfect English - that is true. Rather it is a friendly family run small guesthouse where the owners take pride in what they offer, in where they live and in local produce. In other words it is small scale rural tourism at its best and is ideal for those who realy want to meet romanian people and enjoy their culture and cusine in an authentic rather than contrived setting.
