We spent a nice evening at the restaurant , the food was good and It came quite fast. The waitress was helpful and she made good recomandation . Decent prices and a lovely view and fresh air. Good job

Beautiful place

Been there just to eat.
The restaurant is clean, food is very good food - very tasty "papanasi" and caramelized nuts and honey  pancakes, reasonable prices, fantastic view. next time I will try the hotel as well.

Nice experience

We had three meals here during our stay in Olanesti. They were all very good considering what you can find in town. Very good chef’s specialties with chicken and turkey, great grilled liver dish. A little unaccesible by foot, but it makes it a bit exclusivist. Definitely a good idea to eat there. Cannot rate the accomodation since we didn’t sleep there.

Amazing food

This is a great b&b(pension) in a fantastic location. Each room has its own balcony, the decor is welcoming and in very good condition, the bathrooms too. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is free parking available.
We were impressed because we paid only £20 for a night and we received a fantastic service and the rooms and all facilities were very high quality - 4 star hotel equivalent.

Absolutely impressed

Good restaurant, friendly staff, quite and calm atmosphere. Went there with my 15 months son who loved the playground. They had a kids chair and gived free fruits for desert. Next time will try the hotel too.

Restaurant review

We have stayed at Iulia Star based on a recommendation and I may confirm now that this is probably the best choice in Olanesti and generally speaking a very good choice for a relaxing family short holiday.

The location itself is very nice, with newly furbished rooms and modern bathroom, including a rainfall shower. Everything is clean and accommodating. The view from the balcony is outstanding as the premise is on a small hill so that you may see a big part of the resort from your balcony.

You are very close to the forest and surrounding hills, so biking, jogging, walking are a pleasure.

The food was outstanding as well, as they are using the major part of fruits and  veges from their own production and you may even buy a delicious home made jam. We have spend the Easter over there and I may clearly recommended the lamb, duck, fresh throat and rabbit dishes plus homemade cakes, including the famous Cozonac, yummy...

The services are very good and the staff is friendly and happy to help, especially the chef Gelu which may cook delicious fresh staff on the spot.

Perfect for relaxation and families

We stayed at Iulia star for couple of days and we were very looked after by the staff, they are really friendly; I would consider this a hotel and not a hostel, it has all the necessary facilities, it is extremely clean, fresh, with large rooms with large balconies overlooking the hills and forests; outside, there is a barbecue area that can be used by residents as well as a well equipped play area for children; 
The food in the restaurant is amazing, freshly cooked and the waiters have good recommendations; also,we did not find it pricey;
We would recommend to visit Comanca monastery (such a peaceful place), Olanesti city (beautiful walks) and the salt mine Ocnele Mari

Beautiful place with lovely views!

Pensiunea Iulia Star is located on top of a hill surrounded by forest and has a generous parking lot. Rooms are decent furbished and bathrooms are well updated. We got a balcony room, located on the first floor, overlooking the town and forest. 
The breakfast is not bad (we ordered omlets with cheese), although the coffee is watered down.
