The room has a decent size, nice balcony, nice view.They did try to make it look nicer, but they couldnt take out the old smell and old mentalities. there is a lady at the reception and 2 trainees. they are overwhelmed and sometimes guest tend to become impatient, the receptionist tend to get rude..

Nice, but still very communist

The hotel is placed on the seaside shore. You have direct access from the hotel directly to the beach.
The room we booked was clean. The amenities are not that great, but they are ok. You have 2-3 stars comfort.
The hotel can be quite crowded, therefore there will be a very good chance to become noisy.
The parking can be hustling in the high season (june-august). The hotel has a small parking lot comparing to the accommodation capacity, so you can hardly find a place for parking.
The price can be high comparing to the services.

Pleasant experience

Cosy accomodation, great view, clean room, nice atmosphere. The renovation of the reception area looks great, it's good to have a nice terrace which offers everiday's sunset with a cup of coffee and a small green play area for children!It would be great if daily hours could be extended from an early start in the morning to a late afternoon/evening to welcome tourists who would fully enjoy the benefits of the sea side and not to mention who would increase the incomes of the hotel by enjoying Cafeteria's delights.The many, the better. It was a must indeed to have a bathroom near the reception, good job with that! And an easy access to /from the beach with special water area for sand cleaning - a warmer whater flow would prevent children to hate it;)... and not only them. Parking area also looks better and well organised this year. I would suggest to offer a hairdryer in the bathroom and one extra hanger for to have towels at hand by the shower. And, who knows, maybe a private pool area will surprise us in the years to come near the hotel with a unique sea wiew on several levels! The one from the hotel next door looks great, seing the stoney entrance into the Sea full of algae and not friendly when cold marine current arrise.

Another great week by the sea

I've spent here 2 weekend bacations, in june and july! Very good location, on the beach which is not overcrowded, suitable for families with children, inclusive babies, who have enough place to play between the sunbeds! There are pebbles and stones on the entrance in the water, but because of the minigolf there, the water is warmy! The hotel is mainly clean and the common arreas seems are well managed! The   rooms are avarage cleaned (there is dust under the beds), but the rating of 3* is correct! Triple standard rooms are as big as the double rooms and because of the third bed, the space os very limited! Good sea view from the balcony! Parking lot is small and splited with a neighbour hotel, extra charged (5 lei/day). The playgroud.....hmmm, a big joke (very poor), but nearby is a nice one, big enough. Wiil came back here, for sure! 


Very good location and price!

We have spent 4 nights at the hotel.
Generally everything is ok.
Staff nice, polite, proactive.
Rooms clean, nice furniture. Very good bed.
Cleaning service excellent and flexible.
Very good location, on the beach.
The beach itself is clean, suited with families with children.

TV and AC was ok.

Wifi connection was not stable.

Price/value rate rocks!

Not directly related to the hotel, but there were nice places to eat and drink as well (not on the beach).
We have spent a nice little vacation. We will probably return to this spot. We loved it.
This was our first positive experience on the Romanian sea shore.

Nice place to stay

I booked this hotel through their website having the possibility to choose from two and three stars rooms; surprinsingly, we received a two star room and we  had to ask for the one we paid for. During our stay, four nights and five days, they never cleaned the room, never changed towels,never cleaning the bathroom. Our expectations were not higher than the price we paid but cleaning should be part of a basic policy in any hotel.Other than this, nice view from the balcony, pretty comfortable bed. 

Vacation

We stayed at the Cometa recently and we had a very good experience. We chose a superior double room which overlooked the sea (north side). Very clean and rooms are not dated. Good size TV and channel selection.  Balcony has 2 chairs and a little table. Clean bedding, comfy bed. Parking is chargeable @ 5 romanian lei per day, but it`s secured. We chose to eat at a nearby restaurant, so i can`t rate the food. Location is excellent !!! Will definitely return !

Location and cleanliness 5*****

I visited Cometa Hotel with my family (2 kids). The hotel is clean. The towels are being changed every 2 Days. Room cleaning every day. 
We had a 3 stars room. 
Great sea view from most of the rooms. 
The beach is just near the hotel. You can find sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. Pebbles in the water ( proper water shoes would be recommended). 
The people on the reception are kind of old fashioned, but nice after all.. 
The room is pretty small for 2 adults and 2 children, but we knew about that from the beginning. If you travel with kids I would recommend the superior triple room (we did not find it available). 
There are Many restaurants and shops in the area. 
Basic clean beach hotel!
