We booked 6 houses to live in the weekend of July 19-21, 2019. Starting with the courtesy of the owner, who made our reservations on the phone with great courtesy and professionalism and ending with our entire stay, everything was superlative. The place has delightful views. There is a common kitchen very clean and equipped with absolutely everything you need. There is a barbecue place and a straight ground where you can play with the ball. In front of each house there are benches and table covered, with light for evening. There is also a large covered and round dining table and private parking. All the rooms were very clean, equipped with very clean bathrooms and bedding of the best quality. There is heating for cold nights. They have a chair with indoor chairs and a TV. Each of these small-houses has a terrace with log chairs and a stove table, very chic. Besides the 8 houses with their own bathrooms, there are also small barrels, very clean and well arranged. You have access to the shared bathroom, very clean and equipped with showers. The place is very close to Lacu Rosu - approx. 10-15 minutes walking very slowly, on foot. The owners are young and very dedicated to their business and we have also benefited from substantial discounts, taking into account that we booked in advance a number of 6 rooms. We enjoyed enormously that it is not allowed to listen to the music at high volume and is totally forbidden after 22 hours! Congratulations! We recommend this accommodation for couples and group of friends!

The best place to stay with your friends in Lacu Rosu

I enjoyed this place so much, I cannot understand what could someone see wrong about it. To start with the nice woman who answers at their phone number (0757 350 034) at any hour of the day/ night, then the awesome lady at the reception who was so kind to keep your luggage even if we arrived much much earlier than expected (check-in is at 2 pm, because they have to clean the rooms and we arrived at 9:30 am). The room was really clean and it had everything you could need: clean sheets and towels, soap, functional heating system for the cold nights and hot water for a good shower after a long hike. Such a lovely view from the window and you could hear the river flowing, as it is a very peaceful area, no barking, no loud music from neighborhood. I loved that we had a kitchen where we could make eggs, toast and coffee. Congrats to the owner for good taste. We'll definitely come back!😊

Everything was great , free and big parking , awesome view , and nice rooms . Perfect for families or couples . Placed  at 15 minutes walk from the lake . Some problema with wi-fi for the last houses , number 6-7-8 

Best place in Lacul Rosu

Nice small wood camping houses, with bathroom ( that had a terrible mold smell ), wood furniture in bad condition, very very small tv ( like a notepad), and a little too expensise for what they offer (26 euro/night). The staff from the reception very kind.

Economic place with high price

Pros:
10 minute walk from the lake, 5 mins from supermarket and restaurants.
Free parking.
Nice views, cabins themselves are picturesque and surrounded by nature. There are yurts for rent behind the cabins next to the river.
Good value for money.
Access to kitchen which has fridge/freezer, microwave, stove top (but no oven). Random mix of cutlery and pans.

Cons:
The staff said that coffee was free but strangely there were no cups or mugs in the kitchen and no way of boiling water so if you wanted coffee you had to microwave it in a glass.
No air conditioning in the rooms so during the day it got VERY hot. At night it was cold and you had to turn the heater on.
The shower ran out of hot water after 5 mins. It was enough for 1 person but you must wait an hour before it is warm enough for a second person.

The lake itself is small and not very impressive (and is not actually red due to the algae growing on the surface), the roadside has many, many cars and on weekends it is very popular with tourists. We could not understand why it is so famous and popular. I spent less than 1 hour at the lake and the remainder of my trip was spent hiking, there is a good mountain nearby that can be climbed in less than 2h and offers lovely views of the area.

It was fun and novel staying in a cabin but I would not return to the area in the future.

Cabin stay

The wooden houses are amazing. Indeed, if they are made of wood they may sometimes squeak but it is part of the ambiance. The location is close to the main road, very quiet and has a nice mountain view. It got cold over the night and we used the electric warmers that are inside. The bed was large, comfortable and gave us a good night sleep. The host was kind and welcoming. The house was very clean. The parking is next to the houses. In a relaxing 10 min walk you can get to the lake.
For a cozy and quiet experience, I highly recommend this place.
