Had a relaxing little weekend here with some friends. Impeccable accommodation, kudos to the team. Everything went well in terms of food, beach bar, and sunbeds area overall. Bear in mind that it is quite pricey just like the entire Romanian seaside: Around 10 EUR for a pizza and 8-9 EUR for an alcoholic cocktail. Personally, I only have one piece of advice: The restaurant and bar servers should learn to check-in more often with customers and try to smile — it's part of the job, I have worked in the industry some years ago so I know what it's like :)

A quality full-service resort

The hotel looks good, very nice view to the Black Sea (can see the sunrise from your bed), close to the beach, but in the bathroom, when you take a shower, the water flows everywhere, the street with the entrance it is unpaved  and the worst possible thing was the presence of the flies that flew freely over the food from breakfast. When we pay a lot, we expect a lot!

Nice, but still more to be done

It was the most awful experience at any restaurant. I ordered the chicken pot roast. It came with something that looked like chunks of meat (a few bones with some meat on them) from a soup, tossed in an oil bath to lose its taste and left there until it gets so tough you break your teeth. It was so dry you couldn't feel the meat at all. I told the waiter right away and he said he would send someone over. He never came. Another waiter came over afterwards and said we should have said from the beginning. I said but to no avail. Very rude waiter too. He knew exactly what it was about and then said if we ate the food it was our problem. I didn't want any favors, just to tell him the food was terrible. And I wouldn't have fussed because we were coming in after a 7 hour drive. I would have eaten anything that was edible. But even so, for the first time I deduced that everything was way over the line. Avoid!

Avoid

We stayed in the Luxury Club and had the WORST experience ever in a vacation.

First the staff is very RUDE and they didn't honor the reservation conditions.

We booked months in front and they promised us a quite and superior floor room, we asked that for the baby sleep.

When we got there, the agent offered us a noisy room at floor level where people walk and talk right near your window, even at night.

They argue with us about the room, even with the baby was there. Kind of a blackmail: you accept our terms or you leave!

We've accepted everything because it was evening and we needed a place to sleep.

We got a small and dirty room, maybe wasn't even cleaned after previous customer. We had to clean the bathroom ourselves.

At night, there was permanent noise from the constructions outside and from the people walking by the window.

Don't go there, even if you have money, even if you think that issues don't matter to you. They'll find a way to stress you and treat you like NOTHING!

The next day, in the restaurant, we hardly found a place without smokers to eat breakfast. There were smoke everywhere.

Worse location to stay in Navodari

Location is nice, staff is aweful; waiters don't know how to serve, don't attend to their job and the food was very undercooked; probably they don't have any money to pay people with experience and the customer suffers; prices are extremely high for the services offered

Worse location to eat in all the south east

We stayed in the Sport club at the end of June. I will sum up our stay with the list of pros and cons.
Pro:
- very close to the beach
- has its own beach (perfect for covid situation)
- staff is friendly and the building was prepared for the covid situation (staff wore masks, screens over the food windows, disinfectants near the entries)
Cons:
- at some point the road just ends and becomes a country road. Terrible for the car, specially if it rains and everything becomes muddy.
- the beds were very uncomfortable, hard as pavement
- ar our moment of stay the menus were newly printed, so we didn't have too many options to chose from for lunch&dinner
- drinks are very expensive on the beach and inside the hotel, but I guess this applies to everywhere in that area.
- if you don't chose a room with sea view then prepare yourself for a big disappointment. There are lots of other buildings which are under construction... 
- the walls are very thin so you hear all the noises on the floor. 
- the pool os near the tables and children always play there so you might get a splash while you eat. 

To sum up, the prices are not really justified, but sadly this is how all properties are managed in our country by the sea. And this is not just due to covid situation.


A little bit lower quality than my expectiation

After the lock down we decided to have a weekend at the Black Sea coast. We choose this hotel since it was not in middle of the action.

We got an duplex at the 3/4 floor of the new building with a jacuzzi in the master bedroom. What a luxury establishment would you think. Yeah... but without water :). The water pressure was hit even string enough to make a shower in the bath room situated on the 3rd floor not to speak about to fill up the jacuzzi at the 4th floor.

What was really annoying was the fact that nobody of the cleaning staff respected the hygiene rules to wear a mask, a protection shield and plastic gloves. They entered each room without to think about the consequences.  A big mess!!!

Also the tourist didn’t respected any rules. When we asked at the reception that they should impose that they told us that the tourist are in vacation and she can not disturb them.

In a nutshell:
- money paid for services what they can not offer due to technical reasons
- staff which are not respecting any hygiene rules against the coronavirus 
- staff which has no author to ask the tourist to respect the laws
