Colonial style hose style located in the surroundings of Alameda de Paula and Avenida del Puerto. I really like this place, the hosts are really kind, and they worked very hard for us. It has three rooms with air conditioners and private bathrooms.

We stopped by for lunch and was super yummy. Everything was excellent and Erika is such a great cook. I do recommend to try this place. They have enough room to accommodate if you need to stay overnight. Zolt was very welcoming and has many stories to tell.

This was such a nice place that--along with the churches and ruins in the area that I didn't have time to see on this visit--I would like to come back to. First, the family that runs this little hotel is as friendly as possible. Only one spoke English, but she was fluent and very nice to chat with. Homemade spirits were given to us as well as a delicious dinner and breakfast (if you don't eat meat, you will be disappointed) in the backyard. The rooms are spacious, spartan (in a good way), and comfortable. The whole place is very quiet. However, you are in the countryside and you should know there is an early morning rooster next door and also a dog (not the one at the hotel) that started barking early as well when we stayed. I hope to come back here soon!

I really liked this place, the hosts are REALLLYYYY kind, they worked very hard for us. The houses are real diamonds in the village, compared to other houses. If you like pets, there is a dog and a dozen of cats :)

I love this place! The “Casa Cânda” guest house is located at the foot of the Retezat Mountains, which offer breathtaking views and experiences. The place is run by a family who lives at the property. The owners are up from the crack of dawn till late into the night, making sure guests are well taken care of.

The rustic décor adds to the appeal of the place, the rooms are nicely furnished, and spotlessly clean. The kids enjoyed playing in the spacious backyard, while we were on the veranda, enjoying a good homemade wine, palinka, elderflower cordial or rosehip juice.

All the food, including the bread is homemade, and everything is locally grown. Portions were huge, and every single dish was delicious. Add the clean mountain air to the mix, and even the pickiest of our kids found lots of things to eat that they loved.

The guest house has plenty of parking space in the front and backyard, so cars are secure at all times. The wi-fi works well, but we didn’t need it, we enjoyed the company of our friends and of the owners, who go above and beyond to please guests.

The owners have a small dog called Sissi, who is very good natured and doesn’t bother guests, she sits quietly in her own spot, but our daughter was very fond of her, and played a lot with Sissi. I think Sissi also enjoyed the grooming sessions.

So yes, I would highly recommend this place, and we will definitely return.

We've visited Casa Canda twice, this year and last, and it was a perfect experience both times.
It is a small pension, in a village close to Retezat Mountains, so good place particularly for hiking and biking.
The place is spotlessly clean, very well taken care of, with flowers everywhere, and if you like animals, the 2 dogs + 1 cat will brighten your days for sure.
Last but not least, the host is amazingly nice and a fantastic cook - you won't have an a la carte menu, as it's not that kind of place, but for us at least, we loved everything she prepared for us.
We warmly recommend it and will come back for sure.
