Carpathian Estate

We’ve been lucky to visit and stay at CE more than once during the last few years and we see it as a place of magic and wonder, from the hyperbolic architecture, the fluid interior volumes, the small details that simply enchant one’s eyes wherever it looks, to the harmonious surrounding landscape, the art scattered on the lawns, the mystery of the woods around, the all year changing fragrances … It’s a place designed to host a family and happy children, where our kids felt transposed in a fairy kingdom. For them, there were myriad things to do – from the neverending surprises of the world outside – the farm and its animals, the pond, the trampoline and zip line, the gigantic statues of the neighboring Magura camp to the inside universe populated with books, board games, the football table and the sooo much appreciated interior pool… For us, the big ones, it was a place of quiet, with long strolls on the surrounding hills, an awkward hermitage in the immediate vicinity ( Schitul Cetatuia), friends and kids gathered most convivially around the huge, welcoming wooden table, peaceful time to finish long postponed books… We’ve been there last time end of November last year and I’m just sorry it took me so long to write a review...
