Rooms are nice and clean, there is hot water and warmth in the room. No noise from street, we had a good night sleep. The breakfast was nice, we enjoyed our stay!! 
The waitress/receptionist lady was very kind, polite and attentive to our needs.
Price / quality / location ratio = great!

Decent pension right near the ski lift

I've been accommodated at Pensiunea Rafael at the end of November. It was very cold in the room, I had no warm water in the room at all. I reported the fact that I didn't have warm water but nobody did nothing, their answer was that they had some troubles but they didn't fix them. The food was very poor. I don't recommend this pension!

Horrible accomodation

We arrived in the afternoon, tired and hungry from a long drive, looking forward to a warm Romanian food for dinner. The lady at the reception said there is no cook working today and they are only serving breakfast. She was not at all apologetic about it although that was clearly how it was advertised. We didn't think too much about it and come to find room nice and tidy. When we tried WIFI however it would not work. We went down to speak to her and she says it does not work. We, then expressed our disappointment in lack of restaurant service and WIFI in the hotel and she said why we are complaining to her. It was one thing to have a blatant false advertising but her complete lack of customer service and good attitude, ruined our otherwise very pleasant trip. We would definitely not stay there again!!

Beautiful property with Terrible service

Nice place overall and suroundings are a plus. Breakfast is good, served both indoors and outdoors, pending on weather. Other meals (lunch or dinner) prepared on site i would not reccommend.
Owners should work on improving house ventilation, usually all the smell from the kitchen was felt all over the house, including the sleeping rooms, in the morning :( especially.
