The hotel looks really nice. It modernly decorated and nicely furnished. There is a big flat screen TV on the rooms and also a mini bar. The one thing that I consider should be in a 3 star hotel is a hair dryer. We didn't have one in our room. The staff is not polite though at all. For the nice hotel it is a shame that the service is not better. I called a day ahead to check the availability and the prices. I was told on the phone a price with breakfast and a price without breakfast. Next day when I was checking in, I asked the person at the reception about the price without breakfast and was told there is no such thing and it was not possible that o was told otherwise, as in I was lying about what I was told on the phone. He was really rude about it. Nevertheless the next morning for breakfast is was a big disappointment. It was a buffet but almost all the trays were empty and nobody bothered to refill them. The persons that arrived after us were asked what they wanted because and were brought som foood at their table. I suppose they think that you should serve yourself only once since the waiter started gathering the things while we were still having breakfast. As I said, the hotel is really nice but we didn't feel welcome.

Nice hotel but poor service 

We have spent a night here on our tour.
The staff spoke English well and were very polite.
The restaurant is good and the breakfast buffet was OK also.
The prices are a bit high for this region of Romania.

Pricy hotel with decent service

Resita is a town that has suffered greatly from the closure of the steel mills and other industries it was built around and, in some places, under. So given the decay and run down feel of the place it was surprising to discover this hotel tucked away out of sight behind a Hyundai dealer and opposite one of the closed industrial sites, on the 58B on the way in from Timisoara. It is fairly new, clean and efficient. The staff are helpful, speak reasonable English and took an interest in our travels. It is a few kilometres out of the town centre so we relied on their restaurant which was reasonable as well, albeit laid out in a rather large function room. The bed is comfortable, the shower strong, and the internet is free, fast and works first time. Having travelled all this way we didn't want to succumb to what appears to be the only other option, the Best Western in the middle of town, and this was a very agreeable Romanian alternative. If you are not looking for frills or a fantastic outlook, and are more interested in a good nights sleep with no fuss, it is fine.
