The hotel lies on the outskirts of Sibiu, in a quiet place near the Astra open air village museum. It has its own parking and a covered terrace. The room was clean (although with a foot-long unfinished repair mark at the foot of the balcony door, probably due to mold removal; and a dusty skylight in the  bathroom) and sufficiently furnished (including a fridge), given the limited space. There is free wi-fi with good signal. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming, deserving a special mention. The dining room is spacious and bright. The breakfast was good, and the on request dinner had really large portions, with schnapps or cranberry liqueur and some desert on the house.

Quiet location

Pros:
The new-built building with simple but great interior. The facilities are in good state. The hotel is in the forest that added a fresh air. The parking is on-site that is really convenient. There is a zoo aside.

Cons:
There was some issue with finding the place. There is no lift and restaurant (also there is a Grill house not far from the place)

Place to stay

The room was spacious, large bathroom, very clean, modern furniture, parking, breakfast ok (except coffee), green area, closed to zoo and Astra museum. It's great for families, I recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel

This was the second time we've been staying with our hosts but the first time in this newly built residence which is located a few steps away from the Sibiu Zoo and about 10 minutes away from city center in a quite neighborhood. It has everything you need for just relaxing or if you're in town for business. Moreover, the reasons we choose this place, are the hosts and their employees which are very welcoming and very helpful. Amso Residence has its own parking (which is included in the price of the room), has a nice terrace with a grill if you're in mood for some self cooked goodies and a children's playground. In rooms you have a pretty good size fridge, flat screen TV, hair dryer and air conditioning (hot/cold controller). Will always return with great pleasure and confidence. 

Great place to stay

I have booked a room at AMSO Residence a few weeks ago for one night at the end of this week and they called me yesterday to ask me to stay at a 3 star hotel instead for the same price because they had a larger group which needed accommodation for 2 nights. I refused and they said that it's ok and they are expecting us.Today I received a call from the same hotel telling me that there was a double reservation for the same room and all they can do  is to offer me the same deal at a 3 star hotel or at some villa with no ranking, or to cancel my reservation. I refused a lower ranked accommodation for the same price so 3 days before my trip I was left to find another accommodation (for which the prices grew in the meantime).

Unprofessional

Big rooms and apartments. Great for families. It's located a little far from the center but the surroundings are refreshing because of it being placed between a small group of trees.Everything is very clean and spacious. The proximity to the zoo is a plus.
