                                                                    Great accommodation, very clean rooms, very very good food and the staff is incredibly friendly. Situated near to the centre. Nice view to the mountain, the only disadvantage is that the pool & sauna are closed due to covid19 measures.

The restaurant is nice and the quality of food is ok, the prices are higher than Bucharest. I still consider that the prices of food cannot be the same like in different European countries or higher. The restaurant was clean and feel safe. One major minus is the personnel of restaurant, we booked a special table for an anniversary and they told us 2 times that it is ok but this table was overbooked. They offered us a simple excuse and technical explanation for their mistake. They should learn from greek hospitality to manage this kind of situation which is common but the way to communicate was totally strange, we have to learn to do tourism.   

Good restaurant but weak personal 

Small hotel with quality almost to the height. Cozy young staff, cleanliness in the standard Too much noise on the stairs due to the badly covered floor you could hear every step), the small swimming pool with cold water, the sauna was lit only at your request at the cost of 50 lei for 1 hour and a half. At the restaurant (breakfast included) it was at the cart is you should not exceed 40 lei per person. What months before when we were first time it didn't happen. I'm really sorry.

The weekend

It's small as a structure but intimate and welcoming, the rooms are very clean, staffed by professionals, the breakfast is a mix of local classic and traditional produce, and it's a must-see even in winter when the snow will give them a touch of charm.

Food is great, staff is friendly and helpful, very fast delivery, average prices but excellent service. You must try “Papanasi” ! Thy are the best in town. Family and friends location.  Recommended for business lunches.

I wasn t booked there but I ate twice a day and I can say the the food is fresh and tasty. They have so much diversity in the menu and the staff is nice and kindly. Prices are in mid range and my recommendation is to book there a night or more becuase the place is very well arranged in 4 stars ratting. If you are booked there you can make a barbecue in the winter, they have sauna and gaming room. A night to stay here is around 70 euros.

The best place in Poiana Tapului

The food is great, fresh and tasty, the complex is near the forest, after walking 40 min into the woods you arive at Urlatoarea waterfall. They have a lot of activity such as, sauna, restaurant, hotel, games.

(Some) Rooms are nice and some are even nicer than the one we had, although we booked one of the nicest ones (or so we thought). However, the receptionist was very kind to show us some (less nicer and smaller) alternatives, so we left with the one in the pictures. Big TV set, WiFi enabled (so, if you connect it to the hotel's network you have Youtube and other apps), acceptably stuffed minibar, lounge area (in our room), large bathroom with massage bath tub for two, balcony with nice view.

On the negative side: the bath tub is leaking, hair drier was not working and the balcony light is lit up from both adjacent rooms (3 lamps, one on each balcony and an intermediary one), so if your neighbors want their light on, you can annoy them by shutting it off. :)

Indeed, there is a missing elevator, but for ~6 rooms in each of the 3 buildings it could have been too costly to add.

They also have an inside pool, but did not try it, so I cannot comment. However, it is good to have.

Breakfast is acceptable for a 4 star hotel. They have a chef making fresh omlette and pancakes. Overall, it is really OK, at least for a short (3 nights) stay.

I left the restaurant for the last, but, you know, save the last for the best. The food was amazing. Actually it was a bit frustraiting that I could not review the restaurant separately. Besides drinks, we had a "Cochet" Escalop (Schnitzel) and MO-MO with Meat (Nepalese dish, since their chefs were two Nepalese brothers) and Mashed Potatoes with Truffels and salads. Simply amazing. Did I say amazing? Yes, I did! And we were not very hungry so I speak out of my heart, not my stomach! OK, maybe I am a bit gourmande. :)

The dessert was some house specialty, also quite good, but too sweet for me.

Of course, not very cheap, but on the balanced side (166 RON - 30€ plus tip) for a couple.

Anyway, don't miss this restaurant in Busteni. Unfortunately, if you are serching restaurants in Busteni on TripAdvisor, you will not find it, you have to searh for the hotel (which has this restaurant).


Very good food and nice rooms

I was a guest at the Cochet complex for three days. I found the hotel a real oasis in this part of Romania. The service was really up to the 4* I visited all over Europe. I would have laughed about breakfast, but I think this is more related to the local cuisine. I had the chance to take advantage of the sauna (see the advice as a relaxation at the end of the evening), the pool was a little too cold x my tastes. The price ratio is really good quality (especially compared to prices in Western Europe) I would recommend this location if you understand to go through parts of Sinaitas - Branov - Brasov.
