Hotel Residenz is located at 0.2km distance of Suceava railway station (1897, Austrian, impressive & poorly maintained). The town is hardly interesting. Established in 2013, the hotel offers 22 rooms and has a restaurant. The road next to the hotel provided 24/7 free traffic noise. Booking directly at the hotel’s website or by phone isn’t easy. Good Wi-Fi. Service is friendly.

Our adequately furnished & decorated room had desk & chair, TV, wardrobe, fridge, balcony, air-conditioning, and OK double bed. We had a small bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. Walls are thin, you hear the neighbours’s conversation. Door to the balcony can be openend . All was clean.

An simple buffet breakfast is served: fried eggs & omelet, factory bread & toast, cold-cuts & cheese, butter & marmalade, lemonade & water, yoghurt, tea & coffee. Hotel Residenz is a practical hotel.

A practical hotel

Ideal location about 200 metres easy walk from Suceava railway station NOT Suceava Nord. (Check carefully you get off at the correct station). Staff can arrange taxi to centre of town or local shoppping malls. Room clean & very tastefully furnished  - nice little balcony. Excellent breakfast. English spoken - all staff very helpful.

Good value & Ideal location for railway station

I'm sitting in my room on the second floor of this hotel, as I'm writing this and seething. It's 8:40 pm on a Wed and we checked in a couple of hours ago. There's a party in the hotel restaurant and the music is so loud, the walls of my room are vibrating. We were informed that it will all quiet down by 10 pm. How do I rest meanwhile with all this noise???

I've been travelling for many years and have never experienced anything even remotely similar to this.

Are you for real????

The good: ample room, adequate furnishings, great mattresses, impeccably clean room and bathroom, adequate toiletries, nice towels, functioning air conditioning, adequate minibar, nice terrace. Good size restaurant with local fare, modest but palatable. Nice breakfast (for the early bird - see below). Well-wishing staff. Free parking on premises, or on the street.
The not-so-good: very noisy location, on road with traffic 24/7, makes it impossible to sleep with open windows. As it is close to the station, train engines park on the tracks across the road and one can hear all night specific engine and whistle noises. No elevator and no help with luggage. Spotty wi-fi. Far from city center, you need a car or a cab.
The ugly: Inept policies of (not)training personnel and general overall management. 
Examples:
We weren't able to get any local color or recommendations from the staff other than "check the internet". 
Make sure you go to breakfast early, since items are not replaced as they are consumed. 
Minibar items are not replaced. 
TOILET PAPER is not replaced and had to make a special request. 
Beware of your belongings as left-behind items are stored but you're not told they were found unless you inquire specifically. Rather dishonest practice.

Solid 3 stars, helpful staff, inept management policies hopefully will change

First of all, commitment is key in this business. We called for a reservation in the afternoon, confirmed it and headed for Suceava. Halfway there we received a phone call saying that there are no rooms available actually so we should find something else. This was happening at 9 PM. 

Dissapointed without even staying there!

First of all the staff: very helpful. Room: large, spacious, airy, clean, well-maintained. Air conditioning worked very well, wi-fi good, but not extraordinary. The bathroom is very clean. Very good mattresses (orthopedic), I rested very well. Restaurant: I ordered the cheese plat (recommended) and pasta with salmon in the room. Very good both. Breakfast varied and sufficient. I recommend it!
Traffic is quite crowded and is noising if you are sitting with the open window. Hotel is located next to Suceava Train Station and you can heard the trains. But if you close the window is ok.
