Timisu de Jos

Only visited the restaurant, but the service was appalling. Took 1hr 40 minutes from when we sat down to our food arriving. Drinks took 30 minutes and they were only two beers and a coffee, so not exactly difficult to make. 
There was only one other table in the restaurant and it took this long. Imagine if it was full! That would take a whole day….

Appalling service

Great restaurant to eat if you are around Sambata de Jos. We were satisfied about the food, some traditional Bulz, or maybe the best ribs eaten this year. Also the waiter that served us was sociable and helpful. I certainly recommend this restaurant.

Great food at the restaurant

Staff - not friendly at all - rather passive aggressive, the food is basic, not at all 4 stars. No elevator, the hallway between the hotel and the restaurant smelled like feces. Definitely not coming back.
The room was clean but stained, the cared looked horrible, the wallpaped was peeling off on the edges, low quality furniture, old finishes. Bathroom looked aged but it was clean. 
3 pillows / person, one of them was really good ( guessing natural feathers). 
Staff isn't informed about what to visit nearby, and there was no service so we can Google for maps. Very hard to work with, always feeling that I'm disturbing them.

I don't recommend! Low service

Not a 4 star hotel, the room finishes were old, the wallpaper was peeling off. The carpet was stained.
Wasn't looking fresh and clean.
Staff not pleasant and always rolling eyes when asking for something.
Very bad service.

Nice view but never going back

This hotel has probably seen better days and trying to cut costs has taken a toll on the quality of the service.

Positives: the location is nice, there are a few trails you can access quickly for a hike on the mountain. It's quiet, although you can hear some of the traffic noise if there are sirens. It has a nice garden where you can relax in the sun or have a camp fire in the evening.

Not so positive but still not bad: the kitchen department. The food is good, not so much varied but you can eat some nice food here. I wouldn't stop here to eat if I was going somewhere else and it was on my route.

Bad to extremely annoying: organisation and staff. While some waiters do have a lot of good will and care for the customers, they seem to be bugged by some kind of house rules which work against the client. Very rigid and the needs of the customers are rarely met.

The waiting time to get the food is extremely high.

The prices are way to steep for the quality offered.

The entertainment options are limited and the tennis, soccer and table tennis are extremely overpriced to book. Also, as a 4 star hotel customer, I would expect to have some rec time included in the price of the room. There is nothing offered.

Everything is extra charge! I mean literally everything. There are coffee machines in the rooms. You would expect the coffee to be on the house. Nope! Extra charge! And that is the case with everything. If it's not money, it's time wasted. Like the fact that you have to go to the reception to ask for the full bath set which is advertised on the website. 

Room cleanliness is not ideal. The rooms look old and dated. 

I don't know how this hotel got 4 stars. It most definitely doesn't feel like one. 



Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Not great but not terrible 

It is a nice place for relaxing with nice and kind employee. They are offering you what ever you need to make your stay comfortable.
The sourending area is beautiful sourending of a nice forest and if you are lucky you can see wild bears searching for food. You can climb up the mountains and you can find yourself in the wild nature.
The party they organise are happy full of joy and happiness with good live traditional music. You have to taste the traditional roumanian food witch is tasty and they serve you more than you can eat.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.


Leasure

We spen a weekend, in couple here. Was very nice. Near the forest, the stuff was very nice.
The room was quite big, one of the biggest I ever seen. A balcony with a nice view to the forest.
The breakfast was good, not very diversified but ok, with: eggs, coffee, tea, juice, cheas, some vegetables, bacon, excelent bread. We didn't try the other meals.
Very close to Brasov, in 10-20 minutes you are in the downtown.

Great hotel

A wonderful place, situated in the middle of the nature. The location has a positive vibe, the rooms are very clean and spacious. The stuff is great and polite. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace and the food is excellent. Highly recommend!

Very good location

I stayed here one night during my way southwards. It’s situated only a couple of minutes outside Brasov, although you can still here route 1 from the hotel (not so much that it bothered me). There was no other guests (that I met or saw) which gave the place a weird spooky feeling (again, nothing that bothered me). The room was big and even though I got top floor (no elevators!) there was a surprisingly good stream of water through the shower, nice! I had the opportunity to try some food at the restaurant. Again, I was the only guest, which made me a bit weary when I ordered mushroom risotto (would I get canned mushrooms?). I was pleasantly surprised! The dish tasted good! If I’m passing by again, I can definitely see myself visiting this spooky place. 

Spooky but good

Location good, food medium but the staff and the owner very rude and agressive. The quality of the services is very very low. 
I don’t recommend at all. In region there are a lot of offers better than this.
