I had a nice stay in Turda at SunGarden Hotel. I had a room in the motel part, but the conditions were very ok. Due to some parties in the main restaurant, the motel part seems to be a better option for those who want quiet rooms.
The personnel was very nice and ready to help me in all requests.
The parking was also for a great help.
The breakfast can be better. The coffee was good!

Located on the European road E60, 20 minutes from Cluj Napoca, at the northern exit of the city of Turda, Hotel Sungarden awaits you with its 29 rooms, divided into twin, single or double rooms.

The hotel has 56 accommodation places, distributed in 3 and 4 star rooms, single, double or with a double bed, equipped with adjustable air conditioning, internet, cable television, color TV, direct international telephone, minibar, hair dryer , own bathroom, some with a terrace.

It is located 5 minutes from Salina-turda, 12 km from Cheile Turzii, it is not far from the city center or the industrial area for those who come for work.

Reception was very good, the lady was very friendly and offered us big support in invoicing the rooms.

The restaurant has a good variety of food, we had pasta, soup and some restaurant specialities. Cleaning must be improved.

Breakfast is not so good, there are few varieties of food - eggs, some vegetables and cheese. There are no sweets so this is a big minus.

The hotels looks good in pictures, but they are quite old. I think the hotel is not that old but they don't take care of it very well. The front door isn't working, some umbrellas from the patio are broken and they don't provide good shelter from the rain. The food from the restaurant is good and cheap. But the morning breakfast is lacking heavily. Few tables, no water or juice and very very limited options.

It is getting worse

Just 1 night, nice equipment, slightly hard bed, fine food. There was a new equipment in the room, but the water from the shower easily drained. the dishes were very delicious, the staff was helpful in general.

Nice from the outside,good breakfast,the girls from reception were very kind and nice,the room 104 has a great terrace very big,there are a lot of parking places,3 outside terraces.for one night it was very ok

Hotel looks very nice from the outside, nice from the inside, but this is the end of the plus points in this place.

There is no elevator, so guests have to carry their luggage to the first or to the second floor climbing the stairs. 

Room is small, no bench to put a suitcase on (so it needs to be opened on the floor), TV screen is the size of a small computer screen.

Almost everything in the room has a flaw:
The aicondition is noisy, TV remote not working, sink tap not fixed to its place and its handles are loose, water not draining, no hot water in the evening (!), no floor towel, no toilet paper (!), no place to put the soap on while showering, uncomfortable bed, old mattress you sink into, bed springs squeak, blanket too small for a double-bed.

In the morning - a very poor breakfast, food not replenished at all.....

A really bad experience, we were lucky to stay for one night only......

A terrible experience

The place is one of the best in Turda...is clean, the service is OK, the food average, it has parking and a terrace. The place is also popular for weddings and different kinds of events and one can enjoy a good time with friends and family. The menu is pretty wide- they offer lots of options for food and drinks.

Average

The hotel is a stopping place. It's clean and the room is very good however we got a very small room as we are a group. It was to small for two adults. Another down side is the noise from the road. When closing the window it got too hot... it was end of May so no need for airconditioning.
