Good restaurant, food is really tasty, you could try some traditional Romanian food like mamaliga or mici. I could definitely recommend it as a good place to visit. Good price, big dishes and polite waisters.

The food was very good.  The waiting time was short, but it is true that there were very few people at the time I was there.  Excellent dessert (chocolate ice cream).  Delicious soups, very good chicken grill, a bit tough the grilled pork.  Very good beetroot salad.

Good restaurant

We just visited the restaurant, and my rate is for the food. Every meal that we ordered was tasteless, like they forgot to put salt or any other spices. We got a dessert and it came raw in the middle, the brought us another one but it was very oily. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant but the food is very disappointing. Hope you improve your kitchen dishes and will bring joy to other customers that chose you.

The food is awful…..😒

Horrible restaurant. Do not try. Very bad service. Bad food. The waiter forgot the order, we had to remind her 4 times for 2 Cola, cold food, what was on the menu was not respected (for the components of the dishes)…not everything was brought to the table, but were on the bill…we were 6 people, we will never return!

Really close to Cetatea Neamtului, lovely terrace and atmosphere, but the order took too long. We saw other people leaving because they wanted too long too.
The food is ok though and the prices were not too high. I would suggest the staff management.

Not really a great lunch...

After visiting The Neamt Fortress, a pretty long walk up and down, which usually takes almost 2 hours (depending on how much you visit and how many pictures you take), you usually end up by being exhausted and really starved. As you would not want to be very far away from where you parked your car, you don't have too many options in choosing a place to eat. Actually, I've found only two, right at the basis: Pension La Cetate and Casa Arcasului. The latter one had a cheap appearance and was very crowdy and noisy, because the music was way too loud. And only one free table, which we've decided to abandon by free choice. So we chose La Cetate. I had been there before, but in a different season and too many years ago for me to remember any impression at all. The view seemed pretty nice, it had that traditional style that I like, with wooden benches and not plastic chairs, and overall the terrace looked peaceful and relaxing. There were more available benches, so we chose the one we liked most. The place was getting crowded and crowded after we'd arrived there, that we were starting to think how lucky we were. The food was ok, on average portions, the prices were affordable, but the minuses go for the looong long time waiting for someone to bring us the menus, the food...the dessert (of course) we orderded from the beginning. and not to mention the time we had to wait until they gave us the check we asked for (repeatedly to different members of the staff). We have watched many people from other tables come and go, because they did not have time or patience; and we have heard many orders which were wrong or incomplete.
So, overall, the view is ok, is a nice and cosy place to be, but in my opinion, they don't have enough people working and they cannot handle all customers. Hope you find that helpful! Best regards!

When hunger strikes...

We went to the hotel's restaurant to eat something and the waiter recommend as to move to another table because he didn't want to clean, to dispose the table,  from the previous customers in not a polite manner, actually pretty rude. We did tell him we choose to seat at the dirty table because is was the only one which hadn't a reserved note and we thought we could stay only there. We expected him to clean the table but he offered us to stay at the reserved tables because he wasn't in the mood to clean a table, though it was part of his job and when we said why he went there he said angrily: "Well I did offer you a clean table" and simply left. No menu was brought and he didn't care about us. Obviously we left.

Bad service, rudeness

Run as far as you can !!! Cheap and very bad service!! Horrible food !!! Nothing fresh !!! Not clean !!! Even the position is great everything else is horrible !!! I don’t know how this place still exists !!!!

Horrible !!!!!

After waiting more than half an hour for the food to arrive everything was cold. The polenta without salt. The food arrived with very long pauses. I ordered main with potatoes and it took 10 minutes till the potatoes arrived meantime I finished the main. And also my colleagues mains arrived and I had to wait another 5 min till the other 3 arrived as well. Food was very oily and not so good! I don’t recommend it. The waitresses were very helpful!

Very cheap restaurant 

We stayed here just one night, but it was wonderful.The room was very large, very clean and the sofa I slept on was just good for my backbone. The pension is just at the bottom of the hill of the Neamt Fotress. We had here just breakfast, it was OK, but I think there were problems wth other meals, because of the long time to wait for food....
