Clean, people very polite, food very very tasty and a place rrally cozy and interesting thanks of the magik hands of Miss Brigitte and the heart of Miss Anca. Thank you very much ladies. Good job. I already reccommended you to most of my friends and co-workers. 

We stayed one night at Carpatia Express and we were so happy to experience it. We met lively staff :) Congrats for putting this together. The dining car is lovely. Food and wine gorgeous. Brigitte and her colleagues are doing everything for your confort and well being.

Well, you are sleeping in a train, one bed up one bed down, and extremely comfortable!!
The train was not moving but I would not have noticed if it did...
Amenities were clean and water (in the separate toilet/shower block) was hot!!!
Both dinner and breakfast were out of this world, with a lot of personal attention from the Swiss lady-chef :-)

The room are interesting and really cozy. Acctualy it's an old railway station. Also the food is amazing, because of the chief. She's food is teasty and the way she cooks is delicious. Staff were really good.

Stayed in one of the sleeping apartments in this old standard gauge railway sleeping car as part of a package which includes a ride on the adjacent steam train .This facility consists  of two sleeping carriages plus a dining carriage.
Our deal included two nights in the sleeping car ,two candlelit four course dinners and two breakfasts . 
The accomodation was comfortable but for obvious reasons not a lot of room. There were two toilets either end of each sleeping carriage. There was also a shower block some 100m away. One of the sleeping car compartments had some sort of fault and my brother was given a lodge which also had en suite facilities.He was quite happy with this option which although basic was comfortable and private. The sleeping carriages also had thinish walls so we're not that private .
The food in the dining car was excellent with me being a vegetarian I had no problems . The chef was a Swiss lady who came and Checked we were happy with the food and also came out with sevonds.

It's an experience, ok? Don't expect any luxuries or air con, it's all about the experience of sleeping on a train! Staff were super friendly and food (part of the package) was good, and you can't beat the location if you're taking the train to the valley in the morning, it's super convenient. They need to sort out the situation with stray dogs though. They're lovely and I'm a massive dog person but they bark at night, run down the carriages and wake you up, and pee everywhere.... Because of them, DON'T sit on the deck, you really wouldn't want to after what I saw.... Also, remember that you're sleeping on a train and if you're 2-metres tall, it won't be a comfortable night.
