They kept the music so loud that the walls were trembling. All the night until 6 am. It was impossible to sleep.  The owners didn't bother to solve the problem, obviously. 
The shower was clogged and impossible to use. No hairdryer. 
I would suggest to sleep on the streets rather than in this place.

Worst night ever

First of all, they accepted us with dog. I highly appreciate this thing. The room was clear and big, the bedding fresh. We tried some of their specialities and of course we were not disappointed. We paid some,, coins'' if I can say this. I recommend it!

Nice place

I don’t recommend the restaurant.
Food was not tasty, poor cleaning, high prices for what they offer. It cannot be called a restaurant, it is more a family business. There are other locations in Viseu de Sus where you can eat good food at similar prices much better than this.

Food don’t recommend

We spent a long weekend with a group of friends in this guest house and around. The guest house is disorderly and stylish. There seems to be little attention to maintenance. The staff is a bit grumpy, they don't speak a foreign language. Breakfast was not varied, it was rather weak (bread was moldy). Given that the area is very nice, this guest house could be much better. Not worth the price.

It could be much better

Rooms are decorated with mixed furniture, collected from various places, no trace of any sense of interior design, not even rural design as we expected. Most of the furniture is 50 years old and smells badly. 
There is no living area where kids can play inside (we where there for Christmas so couldn't enjoy the outdoor garden).
The food was the second great disappointment. NO consideration for children meals, despite having paid for each child, including the smallest (3 years old). Some meals where fat and heavy, not appropriate for children's dinner, but there was no alternative provided. Breakfast was equally poor with no vegetable, eggs, cheese, despite our repeated requests for a little diversity among the sausages and fat provided. 
The special meal on Christmas day was totally forgotten by the host which served us potatoe stew in the evening :(

Huge disappointment. Not worth the money

This location is quite big. I booked 1 room and got 1 room plus another room linked to mine, so 2 rooms for 2 people at the cost of one :). Anyway, the room is big and well equiped, very clean and the bathroom is the same (big and clean). The courtyard is very nice with a lot of vegetation and places to eat/drink/smoke/play games. The owners were friendly and the breakfast was good.

had a good time there

We booked our 2-night stay over Christmas with Pensiunea Nagy well in advance (28 July 2017) at the cost of  £ 53.00 (approx. EUR 60.00). We instantly paid the deposit of EUR 30.00 in September when this was requested by the management. Yet, on our arrival at the pensiunea the owner refused letting us stay on the basis of our confirmed booking. Instead he tried to coerce us into buying a Christmas package at the almost four times higher price of EUR 238.00! We were told that we had to either accept it or leave. He added that we wouldn't find a cheaper and even a vacant room at all on the Christmas Eve. After a long and stressful argument, during which we threatened to involve the police the owner reduced his demand first to EUR 158.00 and then to EUR 100.00, of which EUR 30.00 was already paid by the way of deposit. Thus we were coerced into paying the surcharge of EUR 40.00 (67% more) because the only other option was to spend Christmas in the street in sub zero temperatures!
We were given a room with no sound insulation over a noisy parlour, where loud talking continued until well after midnight. The internet did not work, and the light in the room was dim and the staff was extremely rude.
Please be aware that the advance payment is requested to be done by the way of bank transfer, which adds extra £9.00 if done from the UK. It took us weeks and the involvement of Booking.com to get a confirmation of the receipt. 
Contrary to the stated the pensiunea is at least 1.6 km from the center, which is not walkable in 9 minutes. It took us around 30 minutes to get there.
Contrary to the stated, the management does not speak English and would immediately put the phone down when we tried to phone them. They even failed to respond to our email in Romanian, in which we requested the confirmation of receipt of the advance payment, either. Yet, there is more to be said about their use of languages. When I tried to explain the owner that being Jewish I cannot been interested in his Christmas package that included 'lots of pork', he stopped communicating to me in Romanian, which I understand and can speak to a degree,  laughed nastily and then shifted to German, which I do not speak. If you happen to be Jewish and plan to visit the town's picturesque Jewish cemetery, avoid Pensiunea Nagy place at any cost. Please note, that our experience with Pensiunea Nagy was very different from what we had in any other hotel in Maramures, which we visited twice in 2017. My rating for all other places, and there is almost a dozen of them, would be in the range between 'very good' and 'excellent'.

EXPECT HUGE SURCHARGES AND RUDENESS ON YOUR ARRIVAL

Firstly, I booked a double bed room and got a twin one. The furniture was below low and the room looked very poor - even below basic. All these compared with other accomodation sites we could have booked and which looked much better for the same price. Secondly, the breakfast was extremely poor as well. Some meat, some cheese and some butter with jam. Not even close to a basic breakfast worth the investment, Cleanliness was somewhat ok, although the pillows and duvet were what my grandmother used to have in her house 50 years ago. Not nice at all for the money spent. I'm just comparing the investment with what we got. Half the price would have been a good price for the experience. Overall, it wasn't very bad, but I will never come back again in this location. I am sure there are better services in the area for the same prices. 
The guests are ok and somehow friendly. Also, the location is close to city center (5 minutes by car) and Mocanita station (8 minutes by car).
