A private boarding house is located in the village of Sambata de Sus, between fields and mountains. In the backyard there is everything for a comfortable rest, especially if you are travelling with children. There is a monastery, a small swimming pool to cool off in the summer, a high-quality bathtub, a mangrove garden, a garden shed. All spacious spaces throughout Europe are made in the style of a hotel, always at home, always ready to help. There is plenty of room for a comfortable rest, especially if you are travelling with children. Very calm and beautiful view

We had a really bad experience. The owners are very rigid and unfortunately very inclined towards making money not customer experience. If you did not pay your entire stay the 1st interaction with the owners is hello and give me the money before even getting close to the room. As long as you stay and you are the food from their restaurant they will be wonderful hosts (you are not allowed to use the dining room if you do not eat from them). However, if you choose to just go for the room the experience will become very fast very ugly. As they tried to evacuate us from the premises based on an agreement for the dog we were forced to go to the police where we were really surprised to hear that they have multiple complaints for their behavior none of which the police can do anything about: refusing to turn on the heat, trying to evacuate people, inappropriate behavior. The police informed us that they are not allowed to evacuate us unless they will return the amount of money for the nights remaining which they refused. They also discussed with the police and realized that there is nothing they can do for them to keep the money and evacuate and changed their behavior informing us that they will allow us to stay. All in all, a horrible experience, hosts that started to lie and regarding our behavior and my only hope is that based on the police complaints and the complaint to OPC (customer protection) they will find a way to fine them. 

Apart from the hosts, the location is amazing- beautiful views, nice amenities, clean rooms. As the rooms are made of wood you can hear any noise from any other room and there is nothing in the room to put your clothes or anything. Wi-fi only working in the dining are...acceptable mobile signal.
It is really a shame that such a nice location is owned by such people who appear to be wonderful until they have an issue with you.

Horrible experience

An ideal place to explore the area, the owners are friendly people, but we had a problem with booking a family room and he said that it was only for two people, the owner didn't know how to handle the problem well, first are the customers and then the money, for this gentleman this last is the most important thing in his life, I get very bored those days, we were on vacation and we don't have to worry about situations generated by others, in Spain we would say that he is a pestero.

Agridulces holidays

The strangest mixed feeling I've ever had in an accomodation.

Pros: 
 -beutiful place, 
- fantastic view, 
- clean rooms, 
- romantic feeling,  
- very helpful owners

Cons: 

- 'road' to house is a dirt road with full of holes - not all cars could pass, 

- you have to arrive in time, otherwise you will not be granted your pre-payed and  booked room - at least this is what we were told. (The owner lives in the backyard of the accomodation though) 

- you have to pay the whole amont of your stay at your arrival of your first day, 

- there are no cupboards in the rooms whatsoever,
 
- thin walls - if there are more rooms occupied, you will hear absolutely everything, 

- internet only available in the dining place (when we were there this was the case, and only in one of its corners)

- if you want to eat you better order from owners, otherwise you run into difficulties:  
    Dining place -oops, sorry 'Ristorant', only available if you order food with the room. You are not supposed to eat in the rooms.
(we occupied the whole place so we were allowed(!) to eat there, but there is no kitchen or water or dishes or cutlery available except one fridge, a microwave and a multi machine to make toast/tea/coffee (also a nice music player). We were lent dishes and cutlery by the kind owners, a tap with cold water was offered in the backyard, out in the garden to wash our dining things. Teapot cannot be filled from any of the taps or sinks - does not fit underneath - we used mineral water from bottle to make tea. Did not try the shower though. No tea bags are available in the house. Same with the grill in the garden: you can use it but you have to bring absolutely everything to use it, including coal, wood is not allowed. And than also the thing about cleaning after yourself...)

Summary: 
Very friendly place in a beautful environment with very interesting, mixed ideas of hospitality. 
- Fantastic place if you are alone in the house and order food with the accomodation and no bother living from your suitcase. 
- Think twice how flexible and patient you are if you come here with family and taking care of your own food.

Down the Rabbit hole

We had a very bad experience. The owners are very rigid, with the house rules displayed on the door of a refrigerator.
We reserved a room for 3 nights paying 50% in advance, and the difference was requested right after we arrived, we did not even get our luggage in the room.

Although we asked on the phone if we could use the kitchen and, implicitly, the dining space, after we gave our child some food from home (1 year old), we were told that this is not allowed, that it is against the rules. The only place where it was allowed, was outside, on the grass ... We were not allowed to eat even in our room. This was after we agreed to eat two oder to meals a day there, we were not looking to take advantage of that dining space for free.

In the room there were 20 degrees at 12:00 and I asked if we could turn up the heat in case the temperature drops even more during the night, we were told that there is no heat in the rooms because we are in July and that it is not their fault that it's cold outside and we will have to get used to the cold.

We decided to leave because we thought that a house so strict, with people who are only interested in their personal gain is not right for us. Obviously, we asked for the money back, agreeing to pay for the first night. Right away, a big scandal broke out, threatening, calls to the police and gendarmerie, tensions on both sides. No money back.

We finally left without the money back, we had to find another guesthouse with warmth and a place to eat, minimum conditions, but which we did not have here.

P.S. The scenery is not so great, the road to the guesthouse is a road full of pits and mud, there is no cabinet in the room, the walls are not soundproofed.

I do not recommend anyone with small children to come here, there are much better options in the area at the same price.

Very bad experience

I was on a business trip but it really felt like vacation, I spent there 22 great days. Amazing view from all rooms, incredible breakfast, and if preordered owners prepare great dinner, especially dessert. Hospitality of the owners who run the place is incredible, really great family!

Great place!

Excellent services, a very good breakfast and a very nice and worm room. 

It is located in a peaceful location, with a beautiful view at the mountains. 

If you have a child, you can ride a pony or play with the family dogs and feed the always hungry cat!

Just follow the GSP indications and prepare yourself for a relaxing trip!
