The hotel's rooms were pretty good, at the time we arrived there, the water was cut off in the city, which led to terrible treatment of its visitors by staff. The hotel has no water supply, did not offer even purified water, in the room for 1800grn a day did not clean, the administration treated its visitors in a way that we violated their peace!

The staff leaves to wish for the best.

We ended up in Berdyansk because of work and all were booked in Hotel Arle. Hotel is located not far from a crowded beach, like 10 min walk, has a nice yard with a restaurant. Lady at the reception was really nice and we checked in quickly. I guess general policy of the hotel is that all services are to be paid in advance, therefore we were asked to pay for the rooms right away. Same rules apply in the restaurant. Hotel has no elevator and i had to drag my 25 kilo suitcase on a 4th floor and that was not amusing at all. Breakfast is rudimentary, you can find basics and ask for a good coffee for a separate charge. Rooms are OK, i had a so called superior room. Mini bar is available, good supply of towels. I guess mosquitoes are a general problem in Berdyansk but door to my balcony had a special net, therefore they did not reach me. Overall normal place for a stay, considering that in Berdyansk you do not find lots of choice.

Convenient place for stay in Berdyansk

I want to support this hotel with a good review. I can see that the staff are doing their best to make the guest visit as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was delicious, lunch on the menu too! There is parking, which is a huge plus. Close to the sea, which is also a plus. The room is small, but clean and comfortable. The only minus is air conditioning, which is unsuccessfully located directly on the bed. It turns out that the street is also hot and noisy, the windows do not open. And do not turn on the air conditioner because it blows directly into your head, 100% guarantee of illness.

I recommend the hotel!

I spent 6 nights at this hotel while I was a visiting lecturer at Berdyansk Pedagogical University.  The location is convenient both to the university and to the town center, and it is it just 1 block from the Sea of Azov and a lovely walk along the shore toward the main port and the university.  The accommodations were adequate and clean, but no one spoke English, so I was lucky to have an English-speaking person from the university when I checked in and out.  The same was true of the restaurant staff, so we managed breakfast (included in the room price) and dinner via Google translate!  I think the staff speak Russian and possibly some German, so a traveler conversant in those languages would have no problem.. There is a nice outdoor eating area, but in spite of mild temperatures, most days during my stay it was a bit too windy for al fresco dining!  The food was good. There was free Wi-Fi, but no satellite TV.

Good, not great, but well located and ver6y affordable.

A delicious breakfast, a cozy room, I didn't like the fact that in the resort city, the hotel is not cleaned every day, apparently you have to go with your crown to clean the sand.

It's almost okay.

Arle Hotel is located near the city center, the central waterfront, where there are more entertainment, cafes, shops, the sea is within walking distance of the road, clean, new renovation, normal breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Ideal for both business travel and leisure. Good spacious rooms. Fresh renovation. Everything is pleasant. Excellent Swedish breakfast table. No elevator. And the sea is not 20 meters away, as indicated on the hotel's website!!!! The bay is nearby. The central beach is a 5-6 minute walk. The hotel is not far from the center, a 20 minute walk. For those who want a summer holiday in Berdyansk, the Arle Hotel is 100% suitable.

It's a great hotel.

Stayed here on business for six days very recently. The hotel is located about 15 minutes brisk walk from the centre of town and a 5 minute walk to the seafront. It has secure gated parking and the rooms were well equipped and clean.

I paid 500 UAH per night including breakfast, which is approximately 17 euros representing amazing value if you are from the eurozone or UK. The hotel has a sauna and small swimming pool, which is great to jump into after your sauna but would not satisfy someone wanting to swim for exercise.  

Service was generally very good, the hotel is spotlessly clean and when we returned from a field trip in muddy boots, the hotel staff went everywhere cleaning up any mess.
I would not really recommend Berdyansk as a destination worth visiting if you are from another country, however if you need to visit friends or family or you need to travel there on business I definitely recommend the place.

The only thing that found a bit irritating during my stay was the fact that breakfast is not served until 9am and the restaurant remains locked until exactly 9am. Breakfast consists of three set menus and the food in the morning is reasonable. The restaurant remains open during the day and evening and the one thing I will say is that the food and service is of a very high standard. I am sure anyone ordering dinner will not be disappointed with the standard of cuisine, I never once had a bad meal there.

A pleasant six day stay

I spent nine nights here in Sept 2009. The room was very big, flat screen TV and fridge (domestic).  I paid US $40 per night bed & breakfast.  The hotel is in a good quiet area, near the beach and town centre. Some of the staff spoke some English at that time.  Local friends also go there for a night out so the food will be good quality and value.
