Olimpik Hotel 

We are a retired Australian couple who, over the last few years have used Khabarovsk as a convenient base for our travels through Far East Russia. Khabarovsk is also a fine city and a very interesting historical destination in itself. The Olympic Hotel has become a favourite hotel for us. It is conveniently located within reasonable walking distance of the main attractions of the city (about 15 minutes) and only about 20 minutes drive from the airport. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and most speak excellent English. They have also arranged for our transport to and from the airport with absolutely no problems. The rooms are generous in size, well appointed and very comfortable; some having their own private balcony looking toward the main sights of the city. On our last trip, we were delighted to be upgraded to a two-room Club Suite on the top floor. A very pleasant surprise and one for which we were very grateful! The hotel also has a very good restaurant with a great variety of high quality, well presented meals. The menus are available in English. The bar area is very pleasant with a good wine list. There are two ATM's in the main foyer - which actually work! We have managed to use our credit card on several occasions to exchange Australian dollars for rubles with no difficulties. We would highly recommend this hotel.
