Moskovskaya Zastava Hotel

Pluses: 1) great location right in the very city center within the shortest walking distance from all its sights 2) overall comfort of the room and the whole building which is apparently quite old but EXCELLENTLY looking and meticulously renovated 3) nice, intelligent, and friendly staff 4) genuine Imperial Russian flavor which gives the guests a true sense of the beautiful 19th century Russia, the Belle Époque, the era of classical literature (Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky)... lots of paintings from that era on the walls of the lobby, staircases, and hallways 5) delicious home-like buffet breakfast with a menu to every taste 6) vast and convenient parking lot right at the entrance to the hotel, enough for any number of guests and any car sizes 7) impeccable cleanliness all over the hotel, in every room and every hallway, in the lobby and in the café 8) wide variety of tasty teas that the receptionist will be happy to treat you with after a long day in town Minuses: Nothing at all. Maybe I am used to having a curtain over my bathtub (to prevent the water from spilling on the floor while having a shower) and cooler air in the rooms (this can be adjusted by switching off the battery and opening the window) but these are pure trifles that are almost ridiculous to mention in comparison to the overall superb quality of the place. I haven't mentioned the view from my window, because I lived in an attic room; however, other rooms have great views of the Volga river and the riparian park. You're beyond every praise. Will be happy to stay with you again and again. Thank you very much!
