Nadezhda Hotel 

This is a modern hotel with relatively large, light, airy rooms. The rooms have all the usual facilities including good (free) wifi internet connection, air conditioning, a 2 seater couch, desk & 2 chairs, refrigerator and tea / coffee making facilities. All is very clean and comfortable, plenty of hot water and water coolers at the ends of each corridor (the tap water is not recommended for drinking). The whole building is non-smoking. There is a cafe on the ground floor that is only open 0700 to 2000 daily - it has a decent but not great selection of reasonably priced food, but is not gourmet. There is a gym and sauna but I did not try these. The strangest thing is that there is no bar! In fact, no alcohol is sold in the hotel at all and there is not a mini bar in the rooms (although non-alcoholic drinks and some snacks can be bought in reception). They do say, however, that there is nothing stopping you bringing in your own drinks and they are even happy for take-aways to be delivered to the room. There is no room service and no bellboys, so you have to carry your own bags. Prices, however, are very reasonable, the staff generally polite and friendly - all in all a good hotel for a business stay provided you are not desperate for a drink! I will use it again.
