Have had long stays in Hotel Volna over the past couple of years. The location of the hotel is unbeatable as it is located bang opposite the city War Memorial and its gardens. Besides all amenities are convniently located be it supermarkets, stores, shopping or banks. Volna is a cozy hotel with very friendly and caring staff who are ever willing to help, not withstanding the language barrier as not all staff are fluent in English. One wing of the hotel is refirbished whist the other offer typically grand Russian rooms. I have always stayed in the reurbished wing and prefer it. The rooms are modern, very clean and neat. The double room comes equipped with a fridge, microwave owen and a tv each in the living room and bedroom. Hotel offers complimentary wi-fi and it works great. The only thing to improve here is the breakfast which has a daily fixed menu and is a typical hearty Russian breakfast. To sum it up, every stay here has been great without exception.
