What was bad
This was the worst accommodation experience I had during my time in Russia.
Before arriving in Russia, I contacted the host in advance. They had every opportunity to clearly inform me that the booked apartment would not be available, which would have allowed me to cancel or arrange alternative accommodation. Instead, no information was provided until I physically arrived at the address.
