Reception opening hours is a downside. 
Also the entrance/facade is quite shocking/scary, it looks like an old deteriorated council house of a bad area (although in reality it's nothing like that).
Location is unbeatable and the room was OK

Not bad but needs improvements

This place has WOW factor. Really nicely decorated, recommend getting room with a balcony. It is very safe and noone from stuff will be bothering you, they only there when you check in, so you will be left in total privacy. Location is great, it is in a very heart of St Petersburg. Big supermarket under 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. If you call them directly to book they give discounts!

Style and Privacy

Good value for money. Good location, Faberge museum and Cirus are very close to this minihotel. 24 food store and moneyexchange are close by, also restaurants, cafees. More over entrance to the hotel is between legendary Purga I and Purga II bars!
Friendly and flexible stuff, good Wi-Fi. Clean rooms, modern furniture. Good rooms for 2 or 2+1 families. If they change sofas to at least 20 cm wider, and more comfortable ones, will come there with my family  again  and again. Learn instuctions of how ho find the place, and call hotel if you need help, its not easy to find!

Good location, new and clean small cozy plase

Staying in the Mesto hotel right now!  Such a nice place!  The rooms are so nice, fun modern design!  Air conditioning is amazing and they have a washing machine and soap you can use any time!  Any American will appreciate the fridge freezer, you can freeze your water!  It is very nice having the kitchenette. 
There is a lot of construction on the street to the hotel so it seems a little sketchy, but it is a very safe neighborhood.  It is hard to find!!  You have to come down the street behind the hotel and push the code into the call box and then the door makes a chime and unlocks letting you into a kind of run down court yard.  Go straight back through the courtyard to reach the door, go up one flight of stairs, and in to room 10.  It is new, clean and comfy.  Don't see the owner very often, but you can call her on the hotel phone with any questions.  Loving our stay in St Petersburg!

Clean, cozy and safe

The only con of this location is that it was hard to find the first time (the sign is rather small, and you have to go through a security gate). 

However, everything else about this place is wonderful! The rooms were very newly renovated and had great air conditioning and heating. The location is very close to many sites, and just off of bustling Nevsky Prospect (a main vein in St.P) - but far enough away to miss the noise. We felt very safe and secure!

Some extra bonuses is that they had a laundry machine (and laundry soap!) that we were able to use, which was great on a 2 week trip. No breakfast at the hotel, but nearby there is a diner (Stolovaya N1, I think) where we got a good hot breakfast for under 200 rubles per person (including coffee). Also there was a TV with cable in the room if you like that!
