The hotel is located on the 7th-9th floor of the building of the Sberbank of Russia. The room is from the top of the building and in April it was very cold, it was impossible to warm up there. There were no room accessories, breakfast is held in the dining room of the Sberbank on the 2nd floor - very shallow and dirty. For 150 rubles you can choose any dishes, but there is somehow not even wanted.

Weird hotel in Volgograd

I needed a hotel near the university of education (technical school is also nearby). This hotel matched the goal of 5 plus. What pleased me was that the one-room room was larger than the one-room son's at the hotel South (the child lived there with the team at the finals of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren). The cleanliness in the room - shaky. Additional pillows - dressed in the closet in large quantities.

Universities are nearby.

Since I was visiting the city-hero of Volgograd for business purposes, an important factor for me was that the hotel was close to where I was visiting. When the hotel staff did everything we had to do, we showed them all the rooms they had, and they got a discount on every single one of them. It's awful!

The hotel itself is located in the building of the Savings Bank, on the 7th floor. The room booked standard, the room had everything needed. The refrigerator, the air conditioner, the TV, the phone (all worked and functioned normally), as well as tea accessories, dishes and appliances. In the shower room, which was surprising, there was a complete set of 4 paintings for 1 person (all 8 paintings!). All the train rooms were clean.

Spent 4 nights here. It had been hard to book a hotel in Volgograd for the dates I wanted in May , even though I started early , but the people at this hotel were really helpful & made it possible.
I had read on trip advisor that the entrance was hard to find as the hotel is above a bank so I was prepared for that - there is a sign for the hotel entrance but the style & colour is the same as that of the Sverbank .
We arrived on an early morning train & were able to get into our room rather than have to leave our luggage as I had expected. the receptionist was lovely & passed on messages from my St Petersburg travel agent & made checking in easy & quick.
We were lucky to have a room with a view of Mamaev Kurgan & the statue of the Mother of Russia which made a wonderful room even better. The room was bright , spacious & spotlessly clean , with a great bathroom.
The room had tea & coffee making facilities with cups & saucers also a torch & alarm clock.
The information pack provided was fantastic listing the main attractions of the city & how to get to them from the hotel with distance how many stops on bus etc . It really made orientating yourself in the city easy. With the bank downstairs money changing was no problem.
Breakfast is served in a cafe/restaurant on one of the lower floors , there was a good choice of dishes hot & cold - the hotel provide a voucher for 100 roubles towards breakfast & only on one occasion did I need to add money to pay for my breakfast.
The hotel is well located for the riverside & the Museum of the Panorama , and Mamaev Kurgan is only a few stops away on the unusual Metro/tram which travels above & below ground something I've not seen anywhere else & celebrating 100 years this year.
This hotel would be my first choice if I return to Volgograd - a great city with a relaxed & friendly atmosphere , Victory Day here is a real treat.
The friend I travelled with mentioned that it is hard to get around here if you don't speak/read Russian.

Great place to stay

Very nice small hotel on the 7-8 fliir of Sberbank building in 15 minutes walk from the railway station and 15 minutes walk from Volga river embankment. Right in the downtown. A lot of cafes around. Breakfast at Sberbank canteen where you can choose any type of food for a sum of 100 rubles (3,3 USD).
