I arrived at the Roof Hostel late in the evening 05/06/15 on route to Chernyanka to visit my girlfriend who was involved in an accident a few days before. I was travelling alone and apprehensive about many elements of my trip. I received a warm and friendly welcome and was quickly organised a bed. Ivan, the administrator on duty at the time, assisted me greatly with local knowledge to help me move onto the next leg of my journey the following day. Stas and Katya, the owners, came to the hostel to give me further assistance late in the night, which was greatly appreciated. I retired for the night once I realised that I would be sharing my room with three girls in their 20's who had been to the Scorpion concert in the city that night. I had a comfortable night and great shower in the morning before moving onto the next stage of my journey. A big thank you to Ivan for getting me to the bus station, organising my bus tickets and staying with me until my bus came and helping me beyond the norm. A credit to the staff here. All are great, all speak English, which was a great help to me as I had little time to learn any Russian before I left the UK.

   I returned on the evening before Russia Day as the transport links were doubtful due to a Public Holiday on12/06/15. I stayed at the Roof Hostel for three nights. In this time became acquainted with other members of the Roof Team. All were very professional and very helpful. A good team has been put together here. All of the facilities were clean and the beds were comfortable. Very reasonably priced also. Close to the city centre, good supply of shops nearby and in a quiet area. 

Clean bed linen and towels supplied each day and the tea and coffee is free. Kitchen available to cook your own food and a laundry service available daily.

If you are travelling through or staying in Voronezh, this is the place to stay, without a doubt. I will return later in the year to the Roof and suggest anyone doing similar to me does the same. A good experience with good people at the Roof. Multi national clientele and if you are one for meeting people from various parts of the world, this hostel will meet all your needs.

What a good choice

nice and cozy hostel, clean, everything is new, you can have anything you need... I even had a free laundry, thanks... :)) staff speak excellent english and they are good hosts... location is ok, there is a big shoping mall near by, it is easy to walk to city center...

first of all, 
the stuff is very friendly and knows english..its a big problem if you need a place to stay in russia in any city.they are always friendly and helpful.
the hostel itself is new and really cool desgined.clean rooms,common kitchen and comfortable beds.and its in the centre of the city..you can go anywhere you want in voronezh by walk..
for me it was a really nice experience to stay there and meet the cool guys from russia..
about the price i dont want to say anything,,because if you are in russia you already got the feeling about prices..
i feel now,,that i have a nice place to stay and nice friends to communicate everytime when i visit voronezh..
