Baobab Soleil was a very pleasant hotel to stay. These were the things I liked about the hotel:

It was very close to the wildlife park, Foret de Bandia and the hotel shuttle could provide a ride to and fro for a fee. The hotel was also close to the airport, but since I was not flying in or out, it did not apply to me.

There weren't too many staff members, only about three. They worked hard to provide services and were very friendly.

The rooms were spacious, clean and had basic amenities.

There was a large pool, which was open 24/7.

Food was good although the menu was limited. There were alcoholic drinks to purchase.

There was Internet access at the restaurant area.

The surrounding area had many baobab trees making the name Baobab Soleil very fitting. One could take walks around the area with no safety concerns.

Suggestions:

If possible, have an Internet router so that people who like to do some work or read online could read in their rooms or patio instead of going to the restaurant, which is often loud with people talking and also has a lot of flies. Also the weaver birds on the large tree close-by make quite a racket that can be tiring after a while.

I was there 3 nights and wished to do some work in my room, but could not do that and was a bit disappointed.

All in all, it was a good 3-night stay at the hotel.

I enjoyed three nights here

While spending two weeks at a drumming workshop in Saint Louis we had missed out that we needed to have a covidtest before transiting in Brussels on our way home. We had to change our fligt to the following evening and find out were we could get a covidtest on a Sathurday. With the help of very helpful staff at Brussel airlines and other staff at the airport we ended up booking rooms att Baobad Soleil in Sindia that sent a very nice small bus to pick us up at the airport. Arriving at the hotel very late we were greeted by friendly Ami who presented us with beautiful rooms and served us a good meal in the middle of the night. The following morning we had a very nice breakfast and after that the hotel arranged our transport to the clinic in Mbour so that we could do the test. The transport waited for us and took us back to the hotel where we enjoyed spending the day in the sun by the pool. We had a good late lunch before heading back to the airport. Our stay at Baoubab Soleil  was a very positive experience and we hope to come back and stay there again if we are in need of accomodation close to the airport outside Dakar in the future.

A very pleasent stay

After 2 weeks drum workshop in St Louis, Senegal we return to Dakar, DSS to fly home with Brussel AL but NO we had to have an antigen/pcr test. Our flight was changed to the day after and  Baobab Solei's car picked us up and took us to this magic place in "Baobab land".  Sama new kharit Ami welcomed us, we got beautiful rooms and a late meal. In the morning their car took us to Mbour and we was tested. Back to Baobab Solei we had a nice "extra" day by the pool, a nice lunch and a safe drive back to the airport. Thankyou! We will be back❤

One magic day at Baobab Solei :)

Beautiful place right next to the reserve (when you see a sign with 2 huge giraffes, turn on the dirt road). 
Rooms are around a nice pool area and are cute, spacious, clean, and with great bedding.
The owner was very friendly and gave us great tips on what to visit in the area.

Beautiful place and comfy room

It was several years ago, there was a Lebaneese dinner in Reserve de Bandia. I wanted to stay that night around not to drive back to Dakar. I found this Boabab Soleil in the middle of Baobab trees only in front of Bandia about 2kms.
It is a quiet place, clean, service done by the owner and his wife. There is a swiming pool and around it you may have a nice time away from polution and noise.

We stayed here as BS is close to the airport waiting for our escape from Senegal due to corona. The premises have known better days, but there is warm water and airco, should you need it. Very hard beds. The common room/restaurant is gloomy and inhospitable. Internet is not working in the rooms. The restaurant serves a proper meal, but order your steak 'saignant' if you like it 'à point'. The pool is refreshing, but there is little shade. Breakfast is the basic baguette with jams and a terrine of coffee.
Anyhow, we managed to escape unlike the the poor French and Belgians who stayed there as well.

needs an upkeep

We arrived around 1am and had an apointment with the owner that hè would pick us up. He arrived bit late, but this accomodation is just 15 minutesform the airport.
Basic clean room and dito breakfast. 
The owner was very helpfull in the arrangement of transport towards Sine.

Just for the transfer

Very dated accommodation. Only booked because it was near a nature reserve. Breakfast was very basic. Pool was nice. Wifi non- existent. It looks as though there used to be a children’s pool but it is now derelict. Pleased we only stayed 2 nights!
