I had originally been too generous with this property, having left a 9/10 review on booking.com irrespective of the rather serious misconducts commited by the property as I felt such things would unlikely happen to most guests....and unbelievably I received a brutally disrespectful and aggressive message from a staff member this morning who had my personal WhatsApp number (over a 9/10 review!?) accusing me of numerous falsies in what seemed like an attempt to bait!? This emotionally distraught individual appears to have a downtown twitch for me...so it seems perfectly fair to highlight the quite unsavoury and potentially problematic nature of this odd-vibed hostel clerk to all prospective guests....(its a compact environment and it would therefore be wise to evade places with lurking creepers). Aside from the above, the location was good and the bathrooms were clean. 👍


Unsafe Creeper Vibes...A Certain Risk

Helpful staff, good vibes and perfect accommodation. I travelled from Albania and spent one night at Hostel che. 10 mins away from the main square by walk. You can play music in the living room.( the Tibetan mandala in the wall sat my brain in a meditative state) 

Peace Love Unity 

The first point about this hostel is the people. They are very friendly, attentive and do their best to provide a good stay for guests. Maria, Zolana and Emil were very helpful, friendly and collaborative. Location is very central and close to the main shopping district and Belgrade fortress. There are two bathrooms but only one shower, so guests may need to wait for others to finish during peak time in the morning or evening, however, it’s not a big deal as the hostel has 3 rooms only. Mind you: guests can only pay in cash, credit cards aren’t acceptable as of August 2019. 


Excellent staff 

Spent 4 days in Hostelche, I have to say it was an amazing place ! Very well situated (5mn walk to city center or fortress, 15mn walk from bus station), in a nice building.
Air con, comfy beds, a nice kitchen, everything very clean.
But the best part is definitely Emil. This guy is so nice and welcoming, the mood in the hostel is so enjoyable thanks to him ! Absolutely recommended.

Have a stay at Emil's hostel

Hostelche is amazing hostel located in the center of Belgrade. Very clean and well designed. Guests that are staying are all super cool and place itself has a great vibe. This place feels like more than a hostel, I will always return and stay there when I am in Belgrade. Staff is amazing and I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for cheap, nice and clean place in the heart of Belgrade.

Great hostel!

My stay at Hostelche was absolutely amazing! Emil was especially great, he’s so kind and really went the extra mile to make my stay the best it could be. I was provided with really good information about the city and they helped me out with my further travels too. 
Everything in the hostel works perfectly and the vibe is very chill. I will definitely come back!

INCREDIBLE HOSTEL! Emil = awesome

Had an awesome weekend staying here! The staff were all very welcoming and catering! - especially Mina, very kind and helpful.
Excellent rooms with other good facilities and a nice kitchen. All common areas and rooms were very clean! The hostel was in a great location with a lot of restaurants near by and good access to public transport.
I would recommend this hostel to anyone planning a trip to Belgrade!

A nice and cozy Hostel in Belgrade downtown

I stayed at Hostelche for one night during my trip to Bosnia together with 7 other friends. We didn't get much time to hang around the hostel, but in the morning the guy working at the hostel prepared coffee for us and helped us with instructions on how to get to the bus station. He was really kind and extremely helpful.

I highly recommend this hostel and I will definitely stay here the next time I will be in Belgrade!

Great Hostel and really nice stuff

My wife and I flew into Belgrade for 1 night before taking a train to Novi Sad. We booked this hostel because it was the best price near the pedestrian walking street. Clean rooms - lots of free amenities - friendly and engaging staff. We even got a hot breakfast! We loved our time at Hostelche. If we come back to Belgrade, we will stay here again!
