Hotel Srbija 

I was living in this very same street from the time I was born, until the completion of an elementary school. Hotel Srbija was, and still is, the landmark of the entire wider city area. But never would I thought this would be a great place to dine in. I was invited by a colleague who is also a gourmet like me, and she recommended the place. After that initial visit, I went again on my own choice, bringing the love of my life with me. She ordered stew, which is served ON a mashed potatoes. Meat pieces were adequately cubic, soft and tasty. I have accepted the meal recommended by the waiter, which were „Lava ćevapčići" - traditional minced meat balls on barbecue, only this time in a soft and tender mixture of kaymak and sour milk-cream, meltes with fresh red peppers, prepared in a magma stone pan. The taste was also good, although a bit unusual. But the greatest of all was the dessert, „Baked Cheesecake", with thick crust and a plenty of NATURAL raspberry souce spilled over it. One served portion is enough for two persons to share. The entire impression is that one should go out to the hotel's restaurant for a lunch or dinner - contrary to the widespread belief that the food in hotels is average. This hotel has a great food, most probably the great chef/s, too.
