cerf island was our first stay on the seychelles and it was the best. we then went to la digue and praslin, where we were at la diguose and cote dor chalets. on cerf island we celebrate our wedding on the beach in front of our takamaka beach villa, and what can I say. thanks to the hotel for a beautiful ceremony on the beach. my WIFE and myself were more than happy with everything. villa is very clean and newly built, it seems. beautiful location. we will come back for our 5th anni!!!!!!

This is a very good place to stay and very comfortable too. You can spend 3-4 days here and the rooms are neat. It is by the Takamaka beach which is one of the best beaches on this island. We enjoyed every bit of this place. 

The beach is very fine sandy and white. There are plenty of corals around. You can collect sea shells and just lie down on the beach. It is very quiet and not many people  or even the locals here. Enjoy every minute of the quietness. It could be little difficult to swim.

We stayed with our two little children in "Villa Takamaka" (the front house). The welcome was great; although there are no roads on Cerf and we had expected having to carry all our stuff along the coast, the hotel actually took care of the luggage and we could stroll there and enjoy our welcome drink. The place is very comfortable and if something is missing or broken, Rita will come and fix it. The hotel offers a boat-service with regular transfers that we found to be very reliable. Other reviewers complained about a construction-site but the neighbouring house is finished now, we did not notice anything. The garden is big and offers privacy, great for kids to play. Cerf is a beautiful little island covered in green with sandy beaches that you have to share with only a handful of other people. We loved it!

We only stayed on Cerf Island for a couple of days and it never stopped raining the whole time we were there, so we probably didn't get a true reflection of this beautiful little island.
The self-catering accommodation is spotless and almost new, with a restaurant should you prefer. The people who run the resort are all extremely friendly and can't do enough for. 
Cerf Island itself is a ten minute boat ride from the Eden Island and the mainland where you can pick up supplies or enjoy a meal.
We found the best way to get around during our two week stay on the Seychelles was to hire a car, they worked out around £25.00 for the day and petrol is £1.00 per litre, The roads are very narrow and basic, so you are better off with something small and a couple of litres will take you too most places on the islands. Moving from island to island is done by high speed catamaran ferries, these are readily available and reasonably priced. If you do take a taxi ride, get a price before your journey, we ended up paying £50.00 for what is a £20.00 ride from the airport to Eden Island
We found food on the islands to be very basic, even in the 5* hotels, with very little fresh salad and vegetables available.
During or stay on the islands we also got bitten by flies on several occasions, so make sure that you take a good insect repellant with you, it is also worth taking garlic capsules, these are good for you and the flies hate it.
Don't expect the sea to be deep, it's no more than six feet in most areas, there is seaweed in places all the way through the Islands, so it's not all pure white sandy beaches, although there are hundreds of these, the water sea is a constant 30 degrees and beautifully blue in colour, so go and enjoy!
