We had our stay in pension fidele from 3rd may to 5th may 2018

Guest house is wonderful. Standard Room is not too specious. Self catering is available & nicely arranged. Only thing is it is slightly internal from main road.

Overall it was worth every penny.

Cheapest stay in La digue !!! Recommended 😊

Very unfortunate that when we arrived with a booking that had been confirmed and paid in full, that we found that there was no room for us.   Even with an extra email and a reminder email from the booking agency, our booking had been messed up.   The owner did find us another room in another pension, but it was not so good to arrive and have problems because our booking had been messed up.   The booking had been paid in full in advance.   But at least the owner did find us somewhere else to stay.

Overbooked so we could not stay

I have a huge individual travel experience:
The rooms are clean, but that's it. The owner was very unprofessional. She reprimanded me and another guest and demand an explanation for a private conversation she admitted to eavesdrop.... Another guest and I were telling her we are not charmed by this behaviour, we are not children, she can't demand an explanation nor force to argue but she kept on going. She was making a whole drama scene about it. Kept on following me when I said "enough" The next morning she decided to ignore us, which was a blessing but can you imagine how unprofessional and infantile that is (so was her behaviour the eve of the arguing). That last the last 5 days of my staying. We don't need this behavior in general particularly not on holidays. If you have choice choose wisely ;-) 

Unprofessional and infantile owner

I have to say that in La Digue you can find much better places at the same price, but if you don't have alternatives this pension can save your trip like happens to me. We couldn't find any place available in August and Mrs. Josette was very nice with my family, arranging a 4 beds room for us. She also can organize snorkeling trips with her boat and bicicle rent for you! Let's say that she knows how to move in La Digue... 
The price for the room is average for the season, paying 60euro for the adults and 30 euro for the kids, which it is not so bad in August and considering the high season. To reach the place you need a bike or a taxi transfer from the port because it is not so well known and indicated, just ask for Pension Fidelitè or Mrs. Josette.

Quite nice

We've been staying here almost 2 weeks. First we booked for the Chalet Bungalow room type, but since it was occupied we were perfectly fine with staying in a room in the guesthouse, with a little discount for the inconvenience. It was perfect for us, a "just married" couple who dreamed to spend the honeymoon in an exotic place, still, didn't wanna spent a fortune on the accommodation. We knew from the beginning that we didn't wanna go for a luxurious place to stay, but we wanted a nice and clean place, and this was it - we could notice from the beginning. 
Our room was daily cleaned, the bed sheets and towels changed every 2 days. People were honest, trustworthy and nice and our staying there was excellent!
And we had AC in our room
One thing we liked, was the fact that our host organised trips for us (snorkelling and exploring the island) another nice thing was that we were able to rent bicycles from this place, for the whole time we've been there. (You will notice is a must to have a bicycle on this island, this will spare you precious time that you can use on exploring the beautiful place).
We had a great staying here, we highly recommend it and we will definitely gladly go back!
